Playing With Fire | Chapter 78

"Speaking" 'Thinking' ~Pico~

At this point, the entire place was covered in traps, most of them out of sight thanks to Momo. The room where the bomb was remained fairly open, however it was also the room with the most traps inside, it honestly kind of reminded her of that show Scooby Doo, Fred was always finding ways to plant traps..., though most of the time they didn't really work out...

She hopes that it's different this time around, especially since there's so many of them. She smiled happily as they finished up. "Well then, ribbons are in place and traps should be set. We ready?" Momo asked. She looked over towards a bright green eyed Izumi. The girl's smile was wicked, she couldn't help but love the fight that is about to unfold.

The timer went off and the two were having their fun in the room holding the bomb. Momo had an idea of what would happen, the second the ice reaches the area she'd cover herself in a film of sort that makes sure the heat wouldn't effect her much, Izumi didn't seem to have an issue with it, having mentioned that in certain areas of America she was lucky that the temp didn't reach over a hundred. (This was an exaggeration of sorts, she says this because in her area the average was about seventy to eighty degrees |ferinheight|. Though to be fair, Japan's temps are pretty high as well.)

Soon enough the two hero students found their way to the entrance of the building. Todoroki had Aoyama stand back as he placed his hand against the wall, ignoring the floating redish orange ribbons floating off of the ground. As soon as his hand touched the wall, ice began to encase the building, it was fast and sudden. Soon enough the cold reached their floor and a wickedly sinister grin reached Izumi's face. The smile even brought a shiver to a certain long haired man watching the fight as it reminded him of a vigilante he knew fairly well. (Harumi reference.)

The ice slowly reached their room and her eyes widened more, she laughed loudly as she simply clicked her fingers and the building went ablaze. The camera's had a hard time seeing anything as both fire and steam took over the screen, however there was only one room that they could see just fine, the ribbons around the bomb only set fire slightly, keeping any ice that came it's way at bay, but keeping the heat from reaching the bomb.

Eyes of each student watching within the observatory widened brightly as the screens had a hard time keeping up with everything, soon enough the fire calmed down and revealed a sopping wet building, steam fell from each wall and water fell to the ground, the building looked like it'd just been caught in a tsunami or something.

With this, Izumi went running out of the room. The ground was probably as hot as a stove at this point, but it didn't seem to stop her, her body glistened with sweat as she ran through the halls with that sinister smile of hers. She couldn't help but love the heat, it'd been quite some time since she'd been to a beach as well, it kind of reminded her of one, that or a sauna...

Her smile never stopped as she darted her way towards the entrance of the building, Todoroki had no doubt started to walk in already, she knew that heat didn't bother him either. Aoyama on the other hand, he was probably having a hard time, that's who she's planning to go for. The one ribbon that had survived the onslaught of flames sat in her hands comfortably, she had it wrapped around her wrist which clearly showed off a small burn underneath her skin. It looked like she didn't even feel it though, it was honestly kind of creepy.

As soon as she'd reached the main floor, she felt a chill run through her body as the temperature changed ever so slightly. The ribbon around her wrist unwrapped itself and surrounded her body, only a few inches away from touching her. It was like a shield of fire. One that kept her body from getting caught in the boy's ice.

Her smiling face could be seen through the heated ribbons on the camera, it seemed to frighten some of the students.

"God..., she's like a villain already, it's kind of scary." One of the students spoke. This student received quite a few glares from his fellow students.

"Oh Todoroki-kun! Come have some fun won't you? I heard that you didn't like the heat all that much." Izumi called out. The boy flinched at her words, no doubt Momo had told her all she needed to know about him. He clicked his tongue and made his way forward, however he noticed that her eyes weren't on him. Instead they sat on the blonde that stood frightened at his side. His eyes widened as he noticed the boy began to charge at her. 

His quirk going off as soon as he'd made it near. Her smile widened sickeningly. The beam of light hit her directly in the chest, which would of course, normally kill someone. Unfortunately, as Todoroki stood there shocked and the students watching from above sat horrified. Izumi's smile became even more wicked, her chest was scorched, pieces of fabric fell off and revealed a militarized plate that was normally used to reflect bullets sitting behind it. Her smile sat there sinisterly as she ran at him without a care in the world, the boy looked sick just from that. 

She ran at him and yellow tape appeared in her hands from around her waist. She quickly wrapped the boy in yellow tape and stepped on a pressure plate hidden on the ground that would activate a trap right above Todoroki's head.

"Villain Team Wins!" Came ringing throughout the building, and finally, Izumi sat on top of Todoroki as he struggled to get out of the net like trap that had fallen onto him. 

"Too bad you don't like fire. I quite enjoy it! My big brother especially made sure I was prepared with it too!" She told him as she sat on his back and played with the remaining ribbon that floated in the air.

The boy grumbled and nudged her off of him. She hopped up and danced within the reckage of the building. "You know, not one of you even got burned. I'm quite satisfied with my training." She told him as she walked towards the exit. Momo came walking down the steps of the building and met her at the exit, leaving little robots to get the two hero students free.
