2 days later

Normal P.O.V

The last two days with Nines had been perfect, you were pretty sure that he was just trying to cheer you up after the whole Connor not speaking incident. But the thing was that you didn't really do anything together, you just sort of stayed at home and spent time together.

To you that was perfect.

But today...

Today was different.

"What's that for?" You asked Nines as you pointed at the items Nines held in his hands.

"What do human usually use them for?" Nines questioned with an extremely quizzical look on his face, as he glanced between both of his hands. "I know what they're for... I more meant... why do you have two?" You rephrased your question to him, this time he tilted his head to side like a puppy.

"Because we will need them." Nines responded as he smiled at you, he then held one arm out to you. "Take it."

"Why do we need them?" You asked as Nines's smile fell and a deadpan expression replaced it.

"Because we are going to be in the kitchen, doing something that involves mess. Any other questions as to why I would want you to wear an apron?" Nines asked as he shook his hand that held the apron for you up and down.

"No I think I've heard enough." You shrugged as you took the apron from him and put it over your head. "Could you tie the back for me?"

"Of course, one moment." Nines answered you as he placed the apron for him down onto the side and walked around you. "Tell me if it is too tight."

With that Nines started to tie your apron up, he didn't do it too tight at all, he knew what would be too tight for you. He had just said it to be polite.

"Done." Nines called out as he appeared in front of you once again, he looked very pleased with himself.

"Come on put your apron on." You demanded impatiently, you'd been waiting for the day that you could see Nines in an apron.

"You may go and wait for me in the kitchen if you would like." Nines suggested but it sounded more like 'you must go' even though he said it in an extremely polite manner.

"Yeah whatever, I didn't think you could get any weirder but... I was wrong." You snorted as you moved past Nines and straight into the kitchen.

You were instantly met with ingredients all over the counters, how long had Nines been planning this for?

"Nines!"

"I will be there in a moment!" Nines yelled out, this only made you roll your eyes and turn towards the doorway.

Not even a moment later did Nines walk through, your eyes instantly widening at his apron. It was relatively normal until you looked at his chest.

The words 'kiss the chef' stared you perfectly in the face.

'Now that's a chef I'd be happy to kiss.' Was your only thought as you continued to stare at the words written on the apron.

"Is there something wrong?" Nines questioned as he lowered his head to look at you better, lifting your head to look up at him you quickly shook your head 'no'. "Nope not at all, you look weird in an apron." You scoffed as you turned away from Nines, you knew he probably knew what you were staring at.

"That is not very nice." Nines whined as a very small huff left him.

"Tough, you do look weird." You giggled still trying to hide the fact that you were hiding the truth from him. "Well, I believe that you look extremely silly in your apron." Nines commented in retaliation, but it was a very poor attempt.
