In the end the call was from Hank, he had invited both you and Nines to visit him, Connor and Sumo. Nines was instantly hesitant, but agreed in the end. But mostly he was annoyed that your make out session was interrupted by the call.

As much as you were enjoying it the moment your call with Hank ended you suggested that the both of you showered and for the first time ever, things really did feel awkward between the two of you. Nines had reluctantly agreed and suggested that you showered first.

Now you were sat on your bed waiting for Nines to finish his shower, you had already finished yours. You'd chosen to just wear something comfy for now, there was no need to dress up nice until later. You could still hear the sound of the shower running so for now you were left with only your thoughts.

What was going through Nines's mind?

Was he thinking about what happened too?

Was he going insane just thinking about it?

They were all questions you wished could be answered, but you couldn't just ask Nines.

You had no idea how Nines was so good at kissing or where he learnt to be like that while kissing.

You also had no idea what would have happened if you weren't interrupted, would it have continued?

Throwing yourself backwards you landed softly with your head between your pillows, you wanted Nines to finish his shower so you didn't have to be lost in your thoughts any longer. After a few minutes lost in your thoughts you heard the shower cut off.

You chose to stay laid there just waiting for Nines to come into the room, you stayed as quiet as possible to hear what Nines was doing. You heard him walking towards the bedroom as the door opened.

"Oh, you are still in here," you just stayed silent rather than saying anything to Nines, "is everything okay?"

"Oh yeah... I'm fine." You mumbled in response not wanting to raise your head and look at him.

"Are you sure? You are just laid there..." Nines commented as you felt the bed dip, meaning Nines had sat down.

"Yeah I'm sure, are you okay?" You asked Nines wondering how he would respond.

Nines didn't respond but you heard him moving, in seconds his face was hovering above yours, his LED glowing yellow as he stared down at you. Droplets of water fell from his hair and down onto your face, your breath hitched as you stared up at him.

"I am, but you are not." Nines sighed as he reached his hand out and wiped the water from your face.

"No I am. I promise." You reassured him while giving him a very small smile.

In an instant Nines returned the smile, he now knew you weren't lying. You were okay, you just had a lot of questions you wished you could ask him.

"Are you just going to lay here?" Nines asked as he nodded down at you, more droplets of water dripping from his hair and down onto your face.

"I am." You replied as Nines wiped more water from your face.

"Very well, I will change in the bathroom." Nines told you, making you realise he was literally just in a towel right now.

"No it's okay, I'll leave so you can change." You laughed trying to sit up, but being stopped by Nines hanging over you. "No you can stay." Nines said, his face dangerously close to yours, you caught him glance down at your lips. "I will go to the bathroom."
