Normal P.O.V
You were bored.
So bored.
You had your head resting on your hand as you stared blankly at your terminal, you had barely done anything.
Turns out that a lot of the man's friends that he let in and out of his house had criminal records, for various different things, you didn't feel smart enough to figure it out. You needed Nines' help.
You had been too engrossed in staring at your terminal, that you decided to finally look up, that's when you saw Nines beelining your way, his LED blazing red.
You furrowed your eyebrows in concern as he got closer, you could tell something was wrong with him.
Pushing your chair out you stood as Nines reached the desk.
"Nines?" You called out, he stared right at you, panic in his eyes. Something was definitely wrong with him. "Earth to Nines, you okay?"
"This will sound... extremely stupid because I cannot breathe, but I feel like I cannot do so..." Nines stated his voice sounding strained, he just looked so panicked.
"What's happened?" You questioned as he widened his eyes.
"They probably know." Is all he said, which only made you more confused.
"Who knows what?"
"Oh no... they probably know..." Nines whined, you had never seen him like this before, it was like he wasn't hearing you.
He always heard you.
"Okay, let's find somewhere quiet." You said as you grabbed onto his forearm and dragged him away from your desk.
He needed somewhere quiet to calm down.
You subtly dragged him around the station until you found an empty room and pulled him inside, closing the door behind yourself.
Now Nines was just stood there mumbling to himself, to you it seemed like he was having some kind of Android panic attack.
"Nines, seriously what it is going on?" You questioned as you grabbed ahold of him and made him face you, but his head was still turned away from you.
He continued to mumble to himself, his LED hadn't changed from a red glow, not once had it even flashed to amber.
"Nines, look at me!" You ordered, your tone coming out oddly harsh, you didn't mean it to be that way. You just wanted to know what was wrong.
Nines' head twisted to look at you, his soft blue eyes connecting with yours.
"Nines, what happened?" You whispered out as a single tear fell from his eye.
"I think they know..." He whimpered as his hand shot into the pocket of his jacket.
"Who and what?"
"I think Hank and RK800 know I am a Deviant..." Nines breathed out, you had to forcefully stop yourself from widening your eyes.
How could they possibly know?
"How?" You asked as Nines pulled the keyring you won him from out of his pocket.
"I was playing with this in my pocket, then I must have pulled it out... they caught me playing with it... I tried to play it off and make an excuse, but I do not think they believed me. Especially not RK800." Nines rambled with his eyes wide and his LED constantly flashing red, he also sounded out of breath which was impossible.
"I'm sure they don't know, you're good at excuses, Nines. And no offence to Hank, but he can be pretty gullible at times." You tried to comfort, but you still knew the main issue was that Connor possibly knew.
