That evening
"Thank you again for speaking to Hank." Nines thanked for about the thousandth time already.
"Nines, stop. I already said it's fine." You snorted as he turned his head to look at you, you were both in the kitchen while Nines washed up.
"I know, but still." Nines sighed as he went back to washing up, you had no idea why he still did it. Considering you literally had a dishwasher.
"Yeah, yeah, I get it." You mumbled as you tilted your head back, looking up at the ceiling. "But next task at hand, what do we do for the rest of the evening?"
"I do not know, what would you like to do?" He questioned as you lowered your head and glared into the back of his.
You wanted him to choose.
"You choose." You told Nines as he twisted his head to look at you.
"I am fine with your choosing." Nines said as you continued to glare at him, which caused his LED to flash to amber.
"You choose." You demanded as you folded your arms across your chest in an attempt to make Nines realise you meant business.
"Oh... I believe I would like to watch a film with you." Nines croaked out, he seemed almost nervous, which was now so funny to you that he felt nervous with you.
"We can do that." You beamed back at him as he gave you smile.
"Could you perhaps pick one for us? As you have more knowledge about what is good." Nines inquired, for a brief moment you considered saying no, just to be a pain.
But instead you nodded at him.
With that you turned around and left him to finish the washing up.
By the time Nines entered the living room you'd already picked a film for the both of you to watch, you'd picked one that you'd hoped he'd enjoy.
"Have you chosen a film?" Nines asked, you nodded your head in response as he moved across your view and then sat down beside you. "I am ready to begin whenever you are."
"I kinda want a blanket, I'll be right back." You announced to Nines as you shot up from the sofa before Nines could offer to go and get you a blanket.
As you left the living room you heard a quiet huff come from him.
Entering your room, you grabbed the first blanket you saw and returned to Nines who was sat patiently. You threw yourself down onto the sofa and flung the blanket forward to unfold it, before then completely covering your body with it.
"Comfy?" Nines questioned, you turned your head to look at him in a very slow and dramatic way, only to see him smirking at you.
"As a matter of fact, I am." You answered casually, raising an eyebrow at him.
"Well then, shall we begin?" Nines asked.
Instead of answering verbally you played the film, just hoping he'd enjoy the film.
Soon enough you were about forty five minutes into the film, but for some reason Nines was being odd. Not the sort of odd he usually is, a different kind of odd.
He was fidgeting.
That was something Nines never did.
It was slowly starting to bug you, why was he fidgeting so much?
So you plucked up the courage and asked, "Is everything okay?"
His head whipped around to face you, his LED pulsing between amber and red.
