2 weeks and 3 days later
The weeks had passed by so fast and now today was the first day of many possible days.
The trial was to begin.
You were currently stood looking at your outfit in the mirror, today was the first day you would have to relive everything. A knock sounded at your bedroom door.
"Come in." You called out, knowing that it was Nines, the door opened and he stepped inside. His LED was red as he stared at you. "What's up?"
"I do not want to do this." Nines admitted, his eyes looking down at the floor.
You turned towards him and strolled towards him, pressing your face into his Cyberlife jacket. His hand instantly placed itself on the back of your neck, as he began to caress it.
"It'll be okay." You attempted to reassure him.
"Her attorney will try and tear you apart. It will not be okay." Nines sighed, you took in a deep breath knowing he was right.
You had been warned by the prosecutor that it was going to be rough, but that he was going to try and make sure the jury knew you were traumatised.
"I know, but we have the best chance. The prosecutor is one of the best. Plus we have you and Connor. Hank isn't worried." You pointed out to Nines who pulled you away from him slightly, a look in his eyes.
"No offence, but Hank does not suffer from this as much as you." Nines commented.
"I know..." You breathed out as Nines tilted your head up so you were looking into his eyes. "What?"
"I love you, Y/N." Nines said as he gave a very soft, but strained smile.
"And I love you, Nines." You responded, Nines had been so amazing the last two weeks. He knew how much anxiety and anger this whole thing caused you.
But he had been by your side the entire time, he had been the best boyfriend he could be. He never left you by yourself for too long, not wanting you to slip into your own head.
"I should hope so, I am perfect after all." Nines sighed, as he pressed a small kiss to your forehead.
"Yet still very big headed." You snorted, that's when Nines pulled you into a very tender kiss.
There had been a lot of that over the last two weeks, you were convinced it was his hobby at this point. He did it so often, not that you were complaining about it.
"Perhaps," Nines mumbled before kissing you again, before then pulling away. "They will be here soon."
"Yeah, I know."
"Then I have to stay away from you when we get there." Nines grumbled, because you were witnesses for separate things, the prosecution wanted you to give Nines, Hank and Connor a wide berth.
You had begrudgingly agreed to it.
Nines had no choice in the matter, as in their eyes he was just a machine.
Which the prosecutor had been delighted about, simply because machines only deliver the facts, as well as an insight to how they see emotions. Nines had been peeved after that meeting, but you had assured him it would be a good thing.
You had also found out that Samuels grandfather would be attending the trial, to face the woman who had caused his daughter's death and hopefully get justice for her and every other victim.
You had been in contact with them a lot since finding this out.
"But I'll still be nearby." You told Nines who let out an annoyed sigh, you knew he just hated it all.
