"This place is so huge!" Lily squealed as she looked around, eyes widened with amazement.
"You act like you've never been in a mall before, Kitten." Leeknow chuckled, watching her childlike expression.
With a slightly embarrassed tone, Lily replied, "No, not that I can remember, anyway. Everything I've ever owned came from a thrift store."
The boys' smiles dropped until Felix spoke up, "Well, sweetheart, you're getting thoroughly spoiled rotten today."
Hyunjin smiled and wrapped his arm around her waist. "Anything you want, Angel. It's yours."
Lily shook her head, "No! I don't - "
"Don't start, Brat. You heard what they said." Chan interrupted with a calm tone, yet stern expression.
Lily rolled her eyes. "But-"
Chan's jaws clenched but before he could say anything else, Leeknow interrupted with a familiar, deep and threatening tone. "Kitten!"
That tone had previously made her blood run cold with fear, but instead, she felt an odd sense of excitement. She immediately quit talking. "I'm sorry." She said as she dropped her head. Suddenly, a smirk appeared, and she threw her arm out and pointed ahead of her. "Then spoil me, Ole grumpy cat tamer!"
The boys dropped their jaws at her menacing, yet humorous antics. Despite their efforts, they couldn't contain their laughter. "Such a brat!" Chan chuckled.
Leeknow rushed behind her and grabbed her around the waist. He lifted her from the ground and continued walking as he tickled her under his grasp.
She laughed as she struggled to free herself from him.The group made their way through the mall, weaving in and out of each store. The boys arms were lined with bags carrying designer labels such as Louis Vuitton, Versace, Alexander McQueen and Gucci. She quickly determined that this was where they shopped, as they frequently wore the same brands. They all lit up watching her innocent, child like expressions as she shopped for the first time. It was getting close to lunch time, so they made their way toward the cafe in the food court.
"I'll be right back, I'll catch up with you guys." Han said before he split from the group.
They entered the cafe and settled in. After the waitress took their order, Lily leaned over to Seungmin who was sitting next to her. "Is it ok if I go to the restroom?" She whispered.
Seungmin looked at her and smiled as he placed his hand on her thigh. "Of course you can, beautiful."
His touch made her blush and she shyly looked away. "Thank you, I'll be right back."She walked out of the cafe and went to the restrooms located just before the entrance of the food court. In her sudden moment alone, she found herself lost in her thoughts. She had never been in any type of relationship before, yet she found herself suddenly interested in eight different men. Her mind raced when she thought of how she was treated when she arrived. Is that how it would be? She asked herself.
She exited the bathroom, still focused on her thoughts until she saw something in her peripheral vision. She turned her eyes to find a woman being pinned against the wall in the corner next to the emergency exit. Han had one hand balanced on the wall next to her, and the other arm wrapped around her waist. The woman giggled as Han whispered in her ear.
Lily shocked herself with her own reaction when tears began to blur her vision. She threw her hands over her mouth to contain her sobs. Without thinking, she backed up and turned opposite the cafe and ran. She didn't know where she was going, or why it shattered her so much to see him with another woman. Their passionate night didn't mean they were in a relationship, after all, so why would it matter? But for some reason, it did. She ran out of the mall and found a bench on the sidewalk. She sat there with her face buried in her hands as her sobs tore through her. She didn't even pay attention to the time that had passed until she heard voices yelling at her.
"Lily! What the fuck are you doing!" Chan screamed as he angrily grabbed her arm.
When she pulled back, and looked up at him with fear and heartbreak in her tear soaked eyes, he took a deep, frustrated breath. He pulled out his phone to alert the others that he had found her, before sitting next to her. "Lily, what's going on?" He asked, struggling to control his anger.
She took several deep breaths to calm herself. "Chan, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have run off like that."
Chan sighed, "No you shouldn't have. Why did you?"
Lily shook her head in humiliation as she wiped her tears. "It's so fucking stupid Chan. I don't know why it hurt me so much. I don't underst-" Her tears began to flow again.
Suddenly Leeknow and Felix stormed out the door angrily and spotted Chan and Lily.
"What the fuck Lily!" Leeknow shouted, making her jump.
Immediately, the others caught up the them. All but Han. Chan held up his hand to silence the others as she tried to compose herself again. "Lily, speak to me. What hurt you?" He said in a calmer tone.
Lily looked up to see Han walking toward them. When she locked eyes with him, she felt her heart shatter all over again.
It was almost like Chan saw her heart physically break in that moment. He followed her eyes to Han, and realization hit him. He knew what she had seen.
"Oh, babygirl." He sighed as he pulled her to him and wrapped his arms around her. He looked up at the confused boys, then fixed his gaze on Han. Han's eyes widened as the unspoken words pierced through him. "Fuck."
