Chan stepped into the kitchen and found Lily standing at the stove, cooking breakfast for everyone. He was overjoyed at the radiant, happy expression beaming from her face. It was strange to him because, until Lily, the other seven men were the only people he cared about. He never wanted to care for anyone else. But there was something about Lily that he could neither explain nor understand.
Chan stepped to the counter beside her. "Good morning." He said as he placed his hand on her back, causing her to jump and yelp. He didn't realize she was wearing earbuds and didn't hear him come in. She removed them from her ears and glared at him as he laughed at her reaction. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." He pleaded as he calmed his laughter. "What are you listening to?" He asked after taking a deep breath.
Lily smiled and turned back to the stove to flip the egg. "It's a playlist of Hannie's songs. He made it for me last night." She replied excitedly. Her cheeks blushed, and she lightly bit her lip when flashes of the night before entered her mind.
Her actions definitely didn't go unnoticed. As he studied her reaction, the bright, discolored mark on the base of her neck caught his eye. He smiled and brushed her hair behind her shoulder. "Did Hannie make this for you last night, too?" He teased as he ran his thumb across the mark.
She didn't know why, but she suddenly felt scared. She felt like he or the others would be angry with her for what she and Han did. Her eyes widened, and fear washed over her face. "I'm sorry. I di-"
"Lily! Why are you apologizing?" Chan interrupted as he cupped her face in his hands.
"I don't know. I just thought you or the others might be upset." She replied nervously.
Chan gave her a comforting smile and asked, "Was it something that you wanted?"
She smiled and nodded as her cheeks blushed.
"Was he respectful, and did he treat you well?" Chan continued.
"He was perfect." She replied as her smile grew.
Chan brought her to his chest and wrapped his arms around her and said, "Then I- we are all happy for you."
"Thank you." She whispered as she sunk into his embrace.
In a menacing, yet joking tone, he said, "But you should probably take those eggs off the stove. I can't promise we wouldn't be mad at burnt eggs."
She pulled back and rolled her eyes at him, then turned to the stove.
He clenched his jaw and heat rushed through him, but he quickly caught himself, and went to the counter. His curiosity got the best of him, so he asked, "Why would you think we would be mad? You're free to be with any or all of us."
She stared at him, processing what he had said before replying, "Any or all? Hannie would be ok with that too?"
Chan chuckled at her innocent expression. "Yes babygirl-"
"Hannie would be more than ok with it." Han interrupted as he walked into the kitchen and made his way to her, smiling. "Good morning my love." He said, as he wrapped his arm around her waist and kissed her temple.
Lily bit her lip shyly and softly grinned. "Good morning."
The calmness in the atmosphere was quickly interrupted when the remaining six men poured into the kitchen, already bickering and cutting up as they gathered around the table.
Lily handed out their plates and placed the food in front of them.
"Woah, who is responsible for that beautiful piece of art?" Hyunjin asked, spotting the mark on her neck when she leaned down in front of him.
All eyes were immediately on Lily, but before she could respond, Felix spoke up with his deep, raspy voice. "Hmm, that would be our very own Ace, Han Jisung. And from what I heard last night-"
"Oh my God this is not happening" Lily whined as she covered her face to hide her embarrassment.
An eruption of cheers echoed through the kitchen.
"God, I feel like I'm in a frat house." Lily said as she rolled her eyes, accepting the situation.
"Ugh, you really like rolling your eyes, don't you Kitten?" Leeknow growled.
Lily chuckled, "I never really noticed but I guess so. Do you not like it when I roll my eyes?" She replied, with a hint of sarcasm in her tone as she rolled her eyes again.
Chan and Leeknow had noticeable changes in their expressions, though they tried their best to hide it. Others at the table found the interaction humorous.
"Lily, you better come sit down before you get in trouble." Seungmin said through his muffled laughter.
Lily winked at Seungmin as she pulled out her chair. "So what's everyone doing today?" She asked.
Felix spoke up with excitement in his voice. "We thought we'd take you shopping today."
"And anything else you want to do." I.N chimed in.
Lily lit up with excitement. "Really? Are you sure? You don't need to do all that for me."
"Of course, we want to babygirl. You deserve to be spoiled a little." Chan added.
Lily shook her head and rolled her eyes, "I don't, but thank you."
Chan's jaw clenched again before saying sternly. "You do. Don't argue with us- brat."
