Chapter 144: Hey There

Felix was adding the cocoa powder to the mixing bowl when he peeked up to see Lily, once again watching the tracking map on her phone as she had done every time someone was on the road since the day of the attack. He flashed a sad smile as he pursed his lips together.

"Sweetheart, you wanna pass me the chocolate?" He asked, with the intent of distracting her until Leeknow and Changbin got home.

As he'd hoped, she laid the phone down and locked eyes with him. "What chocolate?" She asked with a serious expression as she slowly reached into the bowl of chocolate chunks, grabbing a hand full.

He narrowed his eyes and arched his brow. He struggled to maintain his threatening expression as he spoke with a stern tone. "Little girl. If you don't give me that choc-"

She quickly tossed a chunk in her mouth as she kept her eyes locked on his.

"Wow, really? Ok. That's it!" He shouted as he yanked the hand towel off of his shoulder and slammed it onto the countertop.

Lily laughed as she jumped off the counter to run but was quickly caught.

He scooped her up bridal style and pressed his lips into her neck, tickling her with his rapid chewing motions.

"I'll be good! I promise!" She pleaded through her laughter as she squirmed to get away.

"Too late!" He mumbled into her neck, causing her to squirm even more.

The commotion instantly captured the attention of Hyunjin and Han, who were in the living room. Han chuckled as he tossed his phone to the side, giving Felix and Lily his full attention.

Hyunjin smiled as he lifted his phone to record the chaos.

Chan appeared from the office down the hall with a smile on his face.

Hyunjin glanced over at him, then back to the scene in the kitchen as he said, "Welcome to another Felly Battle."

Chan chuckled as he leaned his shoulder against the wall and shoved his hand in his pocket.

Felix continued his attack as he walked into the living room and stood in front of Han. Knowing what was happening, Han leaned back and opened his arms.

She squirmed and laughed as he lowered her as close to Han's lap as he could get, then let her go. "There! Maybe you can control the brat!" He growled as she stuck her tongue out at him and flipped him off.

Han's arms immediately wrapped around her and held her in place. "Hey there, love. You're mine now." He teased as he pulled her against him.

She peeked up at him and batted her eyes as she poked out her bottom lip.  "But baby boy- I want chocolate." She whined as pitifully as she could.

He mimicked her expression as he replied in the same whiny tone, "And we want brownies."

Lily held the pillow behind I.N as he slowly leaned back in the reclining section of the couch. "Is that good? Are you comfortable?"

He chuckled as he tugged at her hand. "Yes, but I'd be more comfortable if you were lying next to me."

She playfully scrunched her brows as she smiled. "That was cheesy." She teased before lying on her side across the couch and lowering her head, gently resting it on his thigh.

"Yea, dude. That was lame." Felix said as he lifted her legs and sat under them.

Chan lowered into the floor and rested his back against the couch directly in front of her. "Ah, leave the guy alone. She loves it when we use cheesy lines."

"Exactly." I.N scoffed as he reached his arm out and rested his hand on the side of her stomach. "Now start the damn movie."

Han grabbed the remote and lowered onto his stomach on the floor. "Everybody ready?"

"We've been ready!" Changbin whined as he threw a piece of popcorn at Han.

"Play the damn thing!" Leeknow added as he grabbed a brownie and stretched out on the smaller sofa next to Hyunjin.

I.N's fingers lazily raked through Lily's hair as Felix massaged her feet. Chan rested the back of his head against Lily's stomach as he held her hand on his shoulder.

They were only a few minutes into the movie, and she had been laughing nearly the entire time. When she wasn't laughing at the movie itself, she was laughing at the men bickering over which character had the best abilities or what it would be like to meet Ryan Reynolds.

"We'd be his favorite Austrailians!" Felix confidently exclaimed.

"Yall are delusional." Lily teased as she rolled her eyes. "But hey, if you do meet him, you can ask him to join SKZ."

They had just begun trying to figure out what the familiar track was that playing in the background when suddenly, Chan launched forward and spun around, staring at her with a confused expression.

Her brows were scrunched as she slowly raised up from I.N's lap and placed her hand on her stomach.

Felix and I.N started to question the situation, but Seungmin, who immediately noticed the sudden actions, raised up from his reclined position and urgently asked, "You ok?"

Still sharing the same stunned expression with Chan, she asked, "You felt that?"

They now had the attention of everyone in the room. "Felt what?" "What happened?" Several of them questioned, some with concern, some with curiosity.

"Uh, yea. I thought you flicked me or something." Chan replied as he glanced back at her stomach.

Suddenly, her eyes lit up, and a smile stretched across her face as she felt the strange sensation again.

Realization of what they were referring to finally hit the others, filling them with excitement. Chan's and Felix's hands instantly landed on her stomach, followed immediately by I.N's. One by one, the others joined, each finding a spot to rest their hands.

An unusual silence filled the air. No one spoke. Some were unknowingly holding their breath, hoping to feel their baby move. A couple of minutes passed, and they felt nothing.

They were beginning to feel slight disappointment when Leeknow broke the silence. "Well, she made herself known, just long enough to drop kick you in the back of the head."

They erupted with laughter as Chan glared at Leeknow. "Yea, she definitely has your DNA." He replied, earning a smug wink from him.

Their bickering and laughter continued for a moment before everyone suddenly got quiet again.

I.N looked up with widened eyes and asked, "Was that her?"

Lily smiled as she bit her bottom lip, nodding rapidly.

Tears formed in I.N's eyes as he shifted his gaze back to her stomach and whispered. "Hey there, little one."

"I didn't feel it." Felix pouted, followed by a few of the others.

The ones he did feel it immediately surrendered their hand position to ensure that everyone got a chance to feel their baby move.

When the fluttering began again, they glanced back and forth at each other with awestruck eyes and wide stretched grins.

Unadulterated excitement and happiness was all that was felt in the moment. A welcomed change to the turmoil that loomed in the back of her mind.
