Chapter 39: FAM

"How do you feel?" Seungmin asked Lily as they checked the comms equipment.

"Honestly, all I can think about is that piece of shit in a pool of blood. Is that bad?" Lily replied dryly, not looking up from her task.

As they spoke, he watched her body language for any potential red flags before he sent her into the field. "Considering what he's done to you, I don't think it's bad. I think you've handled yourself quite well."

Lily scoffed and replied sarcastically, "Tell that to Bobby."

Seungmin threw his head back in laughter. He couldn't get enough of her menacing tendencies.

"Is my kitten cleared for the mission?" Leeknow asked as he snaked his arms around her waist and rested his head on her shoulder.

Lily leaned herself against him and smiled. "Dr. Minnie? Am I clear?"

Seungmin smirked and replied, "As soon as your doctor bill is paid."

Lily arched her brows and scoffed, "Doctor bill? No worries, you can send it to my daddy over there." She pointed toward Chan by nodding her head at him.

Chan, who was standing a few feet from them wiring himself, turned quickly with a shocked expression on his face.

Leeknow's hands suddenly dropped from her waist as he folded with laughter.

Seungmin snarled his nose with disgust, "Ew, no, this bill is only payable by the patient." He said as he cupped her cheeks in his hands and brought her in for a sweet, loving kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck. "I love you, Minnie," she said into his lips.

He pulled away from her and adoringly gazed into her eyes. "I love you too- Gah, you are so beautiful."

She sheepishly grinned before softly pecking his lips again. "Keep telling me that, and I might start believing it." She replied.

"You better already believe it. I'd hate to have to send you to the cat tamer." He said in a joking, yet serious manner.

Leeknow flashed her a sadistic grin and replied smuggly, "My door is always open."

"Babygirl, you better watch it. If Seungmin threatens, he means it." Chan warned with a smirk and a wink.

Leeknow checked his watch and announced. "It's go time. We'll switch on when we arrive on site."

Chan nodded, "Get going. You got the babygirl. Remember the code word?"

"Fam." She replied confidently as she threw her equipment over her shoulder.

"Good girl. I love you. You both be safe and alert." Chan instructed before giving Lily a goodbye hug and kiss.

Lily narrowed her brows and spoke sternly, "You, Chan, be safe and alert."

An assuring smile stretched across his face, and he nodded as he said, "Yes ma'am, I'll see you tonight."

Lily saw the shock cover Leeknow's face.

Lily: Seungmin, we're on site. Setting up now.

Seungmin: Copy that.

Leeknow: Has Chan left yet?

Seungmin: Five minutes ago.

The sounds of metal clicking filled the air as they assembled their weapons and equipment. Leeknow loaded rounds into the magazine as Lily checked her sights.

"Sooo, what's with this ma'am thing?" Lily asked, her curiosity getting best of her. "Seungmin said he only calls his superiors that, but I didn't think it was a big deal until I saw your face when he said it earlier."

Leeknow paused what he was doing and replied, "Lily, coming from Bang Chan, it's a huge deal. He's very old school when it comes to respect. We've all known each other our whole lives, and in that time, only three people have earned that title from him. His parents, and JYP. The only reason JYP heard it is because Chan's father expected him to."

Lily was stunned to hear the gravity of the meaning. "Oh. Wow, I don't know what to say. I-"

Leeknow smiled and kissed her forehead. "Get to work, sweet girl." He instructed.

They quickly set up their equipment and waited for movement. Suddenly, Lily spotted JYP walking into the building.

Lily: Target is entering the building.

Seungmin: Chan is arriving on location now.

Leeknow was positioned in the window in the right of the room, while Lily positioned in the left window.

Leeknow: Target is in the office

Chan: Approaching the building. Babygirl, whatever is said is for the mission only. You got this

Lily: No, sir. We got this. I love you. I see you.

Chan opened the door to the building, and turned his head enough to blow a kiss toward the window he knew they were in.

Lily: Back at you, babe.

Chan: Going silent.

Through the scopes of their weapons, they could see Chan enter the room. The two men shook hands and Chan took his seat.

JYP: Chan, have a seat. I'm glad you could make it.

Chan: I appreciate you seeing me. I wan-

JYP: Your new sub. I.N said it would be permanent?

Chan: Correct.

JYP: Hmm. That's unfortunate for me.

He had continued to stand in front of Chan, hindering their visual, and delaying the shot.

Leeknow: Chan we can't lock in at his current position.

Chan: That's actually wanted to speak to you about. The boys are looking to hire another sub.

JYP: Oh, well, let's see if we can arrange something.

Just as Chan had hoped, JYP walked around the desk, sat in his chair and pulled out his laptop.

JYP: I'll send a quick email and get you taken care of.

Lily: Target locked. On your command.

Chan: I appreciate that. I also have another request

JYP: Of course, go ahead.

Chan: Don't fuck with my FAM
