"Lily, can we talk?" Han asked as he hesitantly entered the room.

"There's nothing to talk about." Lily replied numbly without looking at him.

Han sighed and ran his hand through his hair. "Lily, you have to let me explain-"

"Han, we're not in a relationship so it doesn't fucking matter. I'm nothing to you so just leave." Lily replied with frustration.

"My love, you mea-"

Tears began to flow down her cheeks. "Don't call me that. You don't get to- how many other girls do you have cute little names for?" She screamed, not realizing how loud she was.

"You know she's not going to understand." Changbin said as they listened to the screaming coming from upstairs.

Hyunjin sat beside Changbin and added, "It's not fair to them Chan. Bin's right. She won't understand unless you tell her what we are."

Chan huffed and threw himself back in the chair. "And how do you think she'll respond to that Hyunjin?" He growled in frustration.

"Better than you think she would Chan! Keeping it from her will cause her more harm." Hyunjin snapped back. "Please, trust me. You have to tell her the truth."

Leeknow raised up and looked at Chan. "I hate to say it but I agree. She's going to find out anyway if she stays here."

Chan let out an exasperated sigh. "Fine, I'll go break up the screaming match." He said as he stood and walked toward the stairs. "Go down and wait for us."

As he approached Lily's room, he could hear Han pleading with her. Chan knew immediately that Han truly cared for her because of how hard he tried to convince her that what she saw wasn't what it seemed to be.

"Lily, please listen to me! I told you-"

"Yes, I heard you. She means nothing. I guess that's a pattern for you." Lily screamed back at Han just as Chan was stepping into the room.

Lily looked up at him, and in her fit of rage, she snapped at him. "What do you want!"

Chan's face ran hot and he clenched his jaw, but quickly composed himself. "I need you to come with me please."

Lily rolled her eyes. "Can't it wait? I'm not in the mood."

Chan glared at her, struggling to remember that she was not his sub, so he couldn't do anything about her attitude toward him. "Lily, I understand you're upset, but I need you to calm down and come with me please." He hissed as he motioned her toward the door.

She rolled her eyes and huffed as she finally walked toward him.

"Han, you too." Chan quickly added as he followed Lily into the hall.

A tense silence filled the air as the three walked down the stairs. Suddenly, Lily's eyes widened when she realized he was leading them to the grey room, where she was taken the first night she was here.
"Chan, no, I-" she began to stutter.

Quickly, Chan realized why she was suddenly panicked. He grabbed her hand and squeezed it gently and interrupted her pleas. "Relax babygirl, that's not what we're doing."

He led them past the room to the end of the hall. He pulled a lever that was hidden behind the statue in the corner, next to a floor to ceiling bookcase. Confusion flooded her face as she watched a fingerprint scanner appear. As soon as he scanned his finger, the bookcase moved, revealing a hidden room.

Lily gasped in shock. "What the fuck."

Chan led them in, where the remaining six men were waiting for them at the large conference table in the center of the room. She looked around, trying desperately to understand what she was seeing. On the wall, ahead of the table, there was a massive screen. Along the wall on the opposite side of the room, she saw what looked to be a work station containing multiple computers and other equipment she had never seen before. Her heart sank when she focused on another wall holding a wide variety of weapons. Her jaw dropped and she began to breathe erratically.

Chan placed his hand on her back. "Will you sit please. Let us explain, yea?"

She couldn't find words to respond with. All she could do was nod and take a seat. Han took the seat next to her. Chan walked to the head of the table and settled in. Lily's heart raced as she waited for him to speak.

Chan took a deep breath and began, "Lily, there isn't an easy way to say it. We were born into this but please understand that it's not exactly what the movies portray. We ar-"

Lily quietly interrupted as soon as she put the pieces together, "Mafia-"

Chan pursed his lips together and nodded.

Han immediately noticed the fear in her expression. He raised up and placed his hand on her back and gently glided his fingertips back and forth to comfort her.

Everyone stared silently at her, trying to gage her reactions. Suddenly, she began laughing. They looked back and forth at each other blankly, not knowing what to do. This laugh wasn't a happy or healthy laugh. She was on the verge of a mental breakdown and they all knew it.

"Lily? Are you ok?" Leeknow asked calmly.

Her laugher blended with her sobs as she exploded. "Of course! Sure! I'm just fucking peachy! Why wouldn't I be? This is just another goddamn day in the life of Lily! Fuck! Why should I be surprised! Nothing about my life has ever been normal so why start now? Might as well shack up with a bunch a scary fucking criminals. That's just icing on the goddamn cake! Fuck!"

Chan stood and went to her as she screamed. He lifted her from her seat and tried to hug her, but she began frantically punching his chest, trying to shove him away. "No! I can't-" She sobbed as he embraced her tightly, sandwiching her arms between their bodies to stop her punches.

"Shhhh. Babygirl, breathe."
