A sharp, stabbing pain suddenly woke Han from his sleep. His eyes shot open as he winced, and he grabbed the source of the pain.

"Please, no." Lily mumbled as her eyes tightened and her nails dug deeper into his skin.

He pursed his lips and pulled her closer to him, resting his lips against her ear as he softly whispered. "Lily, wake up, love."

He gently tightened his grasp when she cried out and tried to jerk away from him. "Lily, come on, baby, wake up." He begged as he gently shook her.

Seungmin, who was asleep on the other side of her, immediately realized what was happening the second he woke. He raised up and placed his hand on her shoulder.

Suddenly, her struggle intensified, causing Han to release her and raise himself hovering slightly over her. He brushed her hair out of her face and cupped her cheek. "Lily! Come on ba-"

"DON'T TOUCH ME!" She screamed to the top of her lungs as she grabbed Han's throat and squeezed as hard as she could, cutting off his air supply.

The other six men who were scattered around them instantly woke to her now, nonstop screaming and jumped up to see Seungmin  trying desperately to loosen her grip on Han's throat as he shouted, "Lily, wake up, baby! Wake up!"

Han was finally able to pull away, gasping for air as he backed up to allow Leeknow to move in next to her. "Check Han, I've got her!" He instructed to Seungmin as he grabbed Lily and sat her up, positioning himself behind her, holding her arms against her side to prevent her from hurting herself or anyone else.

Hyunjin jumped in front of Lily and grabbed her face. "Angel, we're here. You're safe, baby. Please wake up!"

Suddenly, her eyes shot open, and her screams immediately turned to sobs.

"You're ok, sweet girl. You're safe." Leeknow whispered in her ear as she relaxed into him and rested her head into his shoulder.

Hyunjin caressed her face with one hand and lifted her hand with the other, placing it on his chest. "Shhh, breathe, baby. Breathe with me." He softly instructed and began taking deep breaths.

"Sing to her." Han demanded with a raspy, labored voice.

Chan, who was moving to her side, began softly singing. "Looking at your-self, a lot goes through your mind-"

Han stood looking out through the sliding glass door at Lily, who was curled in the patio chair, staring blankly at the sky. He took a deep breath, then slowly opened the door and stepped out.

She jumped and twisted her head back to see Han. She immediately closed her eyes and looked away.

"My love, please stop that." He sighed as he stepped closer to her.

She tried to control her cries as she spoke. "I can't stand seeing those marks around your neck. I'm so sor-"

Her reply was interrupted when he suddenly scooped her up and turned to sit with her cradled in his lap. "So your plan is to avoid me until they go away?" He asked with a slight chuckle to lighten the mood as he wiped a tear from her cheek.

Lily laid her head on his shoulder and replied, "Do you think Brian is actually alive?"

Han kissed her forehead and hugged her close to him. "Uncle J is working on finding that out. He'll do everything in his power to keep you safe. You remember that nickname he gave you?"

She raised up and a slight smile played on her lips as she replied, "Yea, 'Sparky.' I thought it was hilarious."

He laughed as he nodded his head, then replied, "That was his nickname for my mom."

A stunned expression covered her face. "Holy shit. That was your mom's nickname?"

Han flashed a prideful grin and replied, "I've told you before that you and my mom have the same personality. He obviously sees it, too. I've never told you exactly how much you two have in common and how her and my dad met."

Lily looked at him with a curious expression as he took a deep breath before continuing. "Mom and Uncle J were born into Topline. When my mom was about 20 years old, she was kidnapped by a rival gang."

Lily's jaw dropped, and her eyes widened. He held her hand as he continued.  "Chan's dad had just started SKZ and had sent my dad undercover into the rival group so he could gather information to bring them down.. He had been there long enough to gain their trust by the time my mom was brought in. He would sneak to the shack that she was being held in every chance he could to give her food, water, medical attention- and he did anything he could to keep her as safe as possible without blowing his cover. He alerted SKZ, and they worked out a rescue plan, but a couple of hours before the rescue was supposed to take place, the rival leader wanted mom to be brought to him. Dad never told mom or me what he heard that they were going to do to her, but whatever he had heard was bad enough for him to risk everything. He gave mom a gun and a compass and told her to follow it until she got to a cabin about 4 miles from north of the hideout that SKZ used as a rendezvous point. He gave her enough of a headstart before he shot himself in the leg to make it look like an escape. When she made it to them, they took her directly to Topline. That day, they formed a secret alliance, and less than a week later, the rival group was taken out. Not long after, mom requested to see dad so she could thank him for what he did. Dad ended up asking her on a date. A few months later, they were married. On their wedding day, dad gave her this."

Han reached into his pocket and pulled out the small blue box that JK had given him and opened it, revealing the compass necklace. Lily gasped. "It's so beautiful!"

Han took the necklace out of the box and clasped it around her neck. "He said that the compass was to be a reminder that he would always be there to help guide her and keep her safe. I didn't know this until last night, but when mom got sick, she gave this to Uncle J and a told him to pass it to me when I found someone worthy enough to wear it."

Tears rolled down both of their cheeks as she placed her fingertips on top of the charm. "I don't know what to say."

Han smiled and replied, "It looks perfect on you, my love. Don't ever forget it's meaning."

"I won't, I promise. I love you so much, Hannie. Thank you." She replied as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

He kissed her forehead and replied, "I love you. More than you'll ever know."
