"All reports from the night you attacked Brian's hideout were forged and planted in official databases." JK spoke in a relaxed tone.Relaxation, however, was the last thing on the minds of the group sitting in front of him. Lily's breathing became heavy, yet she held her composure as he continued revealing the information.
"I have teams tracing ip addresses to locate the source. However, the data has been heavily encrypted, so it's taking a little longer than expected. No worries- it's nothing my team can't handle."
Chan squeezed Lily's hand as he spoke up in a dry tone, "So Brian is alive?"
JK clicked through his computer as he replied, "We've hacked airport footage. We were able to identify Kwon, but he was alone. The gunshot patient arrived 30 minutes later. We're certain it's Brian, but we were unable to identify due to him being covered. There was a medical emergency call from the cockpit to air traffic control mid flight. It seems the patient coded, so they made an emergency landing. We're working to figure out what transpired after the patient exited the flight. Kwon did not exit with him, so we're also working on his exact location."
"Sparky, I have the files that you requested. However, at this time, it seems as though the agency and local pd are clean. Being that the documents were planted, I don't think an official ever made it to the scene. Even still- we're conducting a thorough investigation. I've sent a few of my team undercover in both departments- we should have concrete information in a few weeks."
Lily suddenly giggled and shook her head in amusement. "All of this in less than four days? Do you have most of Korea working for you?"
JK sat back and propped his ankles over the edge of the table, and smiled. "Sparky, Topline spreads further than you think. Just sit back and relax. I assure you- we've got everything under control."
"Has Lia given any information?" Hyunjin asked as he repositioned in his chair.
"Ah, my next point." JK replied as he dropped his feet and sat up. "It seems that the threat against her brother wasn't her only motivation for betrayal. Her story is that she knew she was under surveillance due to photos she was sent and things that were repeated to her that were said in private. According to initial information, Lia was the one who alerted Kwon of the plan to attack Brian. However, upon further investigation, we confirmed that she was contacted by Kwon within minutes of Chan's call requesting their assistance in the attack. She was sent real-time photos of her team and was told they, along with each of you, would be killed if she didn't follow their instructions."
Lily furrowed her brows. "So she literally felt she had no choice?" She questioned with slight understanding in her tone.
JK pursed his lips. "Seems as though she acted out of fear- yes. We're treating the situation carefully at this time."
Sadness devoured Lily's face as she thought about the situation Lia was in. "Don't kill her." She said as she locked eyes with JK.
As everyone stared at her with astonishment, she continued. "I can't imagine the situation she was in. Please, ju-"
JK held up his hand and interrupted, "While she is still be held and questioned, our methods altered upon the discovery. While I do not tolerate betrayal- I also understand loyalty. Her official fate will still be determined by your team as well as Itzy at a later date."
The group sat back carefully processing the information they had just received, while also keeping a close eye on Lily for any signs of distress.
"Thank you, Uncle J." Lily softly replied. "Is there anything else we need to know?"
JK shut his laptop and shook his head. "Nope- that covers it for now."
"Thank you for everything." Chan said as he stood and reached out to shake JK's hand. "Are you sure we can't help?"
JK grabbed Chan's hand and pulled him into a hug. "Channie Boy, you can help by staying outta my way." He said in a joking yet serious tone.

Lily carefully wrapped a vase in bubble wrap as she stared blankly ahead of her, deep in thought. She jumped and almost dropped the vase when she heard a deep voice echo behind her. "Are you ok, sweetheart?"
"Fuck." She hissed as she quickly reacted to steady the vase in her hands.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." Felix said after quickly moving in to help her.
"I'm fine. I'm sorry. I was just zoned out, I guess." She replied as she placed the wrapped vase in the box.
"Are you feeling ok?" He asked as he grabbed her hands and backed up, leading her to the chair in the corner.
He sat and pulled her into a cradled position in his lap as she responded. "I think so. I guess just a lot going on. I feel kinda foggy."
He kissed the top of her head and gently squeezed her. "Is there anything I can do?"
Lily nuzzled her face into his shoulder and pouted. "You got any special massage techniques to relieve headaches?"
"Another headache?" He asked as he placed his hand firmly against her head and pressed his thumb between her eyebrows, working it in a circular motion.
"Mhm. That feels good." She replied, relaxing her body against him.
After a few moments, he felt her body go limp. He continued the forehead massage while studying her face as she slept. The smile that had rested on his lips only faded when his phone buzzed in his pocket.
