Chapter 125: Too Easy

CHAN: We're pulling in.

LILY: Copy. Be careful.

HAN: Always, love. Hacking surveillance now.

HAN: God, that was too easy. You should be receiving transmission in 3- 2- 1.

LILY: Or you're just too good. Got it.

HAN: Maybe. I'm running the loop.

SEUNGMIN: We got both feeds. You're clear to move in.

Leeknow pulled into the small airport and parked behind an airplane hanger. "Ok. Let's do this."

Four of the men pulled masks over their faces and jumped out of the van. I.N opened the back door and retrieved the metal case containing the IED while Felix grabbed the nitrous oxide canister and a tool bag, which he passed to Leeknow. The teams split off in separate directions.

LILY: Can I just say how fucking hot yall look wearing bulletproof vests and weapons strapped all over you? Damn.

CHAN: Babygirl, are we gonna have to start suiting up for you at home?

I.N: I wouldn't recommend it.

LILY: Hehehe. shut up, Innie.

I.N: Nope. I suited up for a role play a while back. I barely made it out alive.

SEUNGMIN: He wouldn't have if I hadn't shown up.

FELIX: So that's what yall were doing the night we came back late from the mission.

HAN: Kinky bastards

SEUNGMIN: As I said then- you should try it. It's fun.

CHAN: Hmm, I think I'll leave the roleplaying to you. I prefer less obstacles.

LILY: I'm gonna need yall to put an end to this conversation.

LEEKNOW: What's the matter, Kitten? Are they getting you worked up?

LILY: Aren't yall supposed to be focusing on the mission?

FELIX: Yall are just asking for it. Fuck!

CHAN: What?
LILY: Are you ok?
SEUNGMIN: What happened?

FELIX: The lock is brand new. It's gonna take a minute.

LILY: You scare me like that again, I swear to God, you're going in the air fryer.

LEEKNOW: Ha! That's my girl.

I.N and Chan made it to the undercarriage of the plane. "Attach it to the landing gear. He'll be seated directly above it."

I.N opened the case and removed the IED. He slowly and carefully attached it where it wouldn't be seen. He then tapped a few buttons on the control panel inside the case. When the light turned green, he and Chan looked to each other with a quick nod and sinister grins.

I.N: We're activated. Heading back to the van.

CHAN: Felix- Leeknow, how's it going over there?

LEEKNOW: Just got in. Be out soon.

CHAN: Copy.

Felix took the drill from the tool bag and removed the screws from the vent. "Ok, hand me the canister." He said as he placed the screws and drill on the floor beside him.

"This fucker is gonna have the best nap he's ever had." Leeknow chuckled as he passed the canister to Felix.

"Yep. Sweet dreams." Felix replied as he pushed the canister deep into the open vent. He picked up the drill and screws, tightly securing them in place.

FELIX: Done. Heading out.

CHAN: We're pulling around.

The two ran down the stairs just as the van pulled up. Han opened the door from the inside and took the bag, allowing the two to quickly jump in.

LEEKNOW: Ok, sweet girl. We're heading home. Get some sleep

SEUNGMIN: Yea, fat chance. She's wide awake.

LILY: You know I won't sleep til yall are home, anyway.

HAN: Just ended the loop. Everything showing live now?

SEUNGMIN: Yep. All good. Signing off.

LILY: Hurry home but be careful. I love yall.

CHAN: We will. Love you, babygirl
LEEKNOW: Love you too
I.N: I love you too, darling
FELIX: Love you. Sweet dreams
HAN: I love you most

LILY: I said I'm not going to sleep.

FELIX: Right. Yea. Ok.

LILY: I'm not!

FELIX: Whatever you say, sweetheart.

LILY: Fried chicken- Lix. Fried chicken

FELIX: So mean.

LEEKNOW: Kitten is fiesty today. Makes me proud. See you in a bit, babe.

"I knew she wouldn't last." Felix said, bending over the couch, adoringly gazing at the sleeping girl curled in Changbin's lap.

Changbin peeked down at her and smiled. "She hasn't been asleep long. You should've seen her fighting to stay awake."

"Poor baby. I guess she wanted to prove me wrong." Felix chuckled as he walked into the kitchen for a glass of water.

Changbin nodded and smirked. "That's exactly what she was trying to do."

Leeknow walked around to the front of the couch and leaned down, giving her a gentle kiss on the forehead.

She fluttered her eyes open and launched out of Changbin's grasp and wrapped her arms around Leeknow's neck.

He let out a short, breathy laugh as he wrapped his arms around her and lifted her out of Changbin's lap. "Hey, sweet girl."

She nuzzled her head against his chest and closed her eyes. Leeknow softly smiled as he laid his cheek against her head. "You wanna go back to Binnie so I can shower?"

"Where's everyone else?" She mumbled, barely audible.

"We're all here, love." Han softly replied.

"Let Binnie take you to the family bed. We'll be down as soon as we wash up." Chan added, leaning in to kiss her cheek.

She lazily nodded her head, signaling Changbin to stand and take her from Leeknow.

As he left with Lily cradled in his arms, Hyunjin motioned for the attention of those who had just returned home.

When all eyes were on him, he quietly spoke. "JK called Lily earlier. He told her some of the information he's gotten from Lia."

"What information was so important that he called her so late?" Chan asked, equally confused and irritated.

Hyunjin pursed his lips together and took a deep breath. "All I heard before she walked away is that it was something that happened five or six years ago. She wouldn't tell any of us. She just got quiet and crawled into Changbin's lap right after."

The men all shared stunned and confused glances to each other. Chan clenched his jaw and replied, "She wouldn't tell you? What the fuck. Han- call him. Now."

Han nodded as he pulled his phone from his pocket and made the call.

JK: Quokka? It's nearly three in the morning. Everything ok?"

HAN: What did you tell Lily?

JK: Fuck. She didn't tell you.

HAN: No- she didn't.

JK: Lia confessed to manipulating a resume and background check in order to get someone a janitorial position in the National Security Investigation Bureau five or six years ago.

Han's eyes widened, and his heart sank. "Oh fuck."
