"Morning." Felix mumbled as he dragged his feet into the kitchen.
Han furrowed his brows when he saw Felix. He had bags under his barely opened eyes and clearly exhausted. "What the fuck is wrong with you?"
Felix pursed his lips together in a sad smile. "No sleep." He simply replied as he grabbed the coffee mug from the cabinet.
"She woke up again?" Seungmin asked, peeking over his laptop.
"Yep. And again. And again. And again. She just went back to sleep." Felix replied as he poured the coffee into his cup. He took a quick sip and snarled his face in disgust before taking another sip as he shuffled to the table.
"Is she ok? Why didn't you come get one of us?" I.N questioned, no longer interested in the game he was playing on his phone.
Felix took a seat and placed his mug down, wrapping his cold hands around it to warm them. "Wasn't necessary. I really don't know if she's ok. The first and third time, she woke up with leg cramps, so I massaged them for a while until she fell asleep. Second time was because of a nightmare. But all three times she was awake, she stayed quiet and kept tearing up. Wouldn't tell me about the nightmare and wouldn't give me a straight answer when I'd ask what was wrong. Kept blaming it on the hormones, but-"
"This is definitely not just hormones." Seungmin interrupted before looking to Leeknow, who was at the stove, preparing breakfast. "Are you sure you pulled her out in time yesterday?"
"She was completely coherent when I walked in and she acted completely fine after. I didn't notice a mood change until we were almost home." Leeknow replied as he lifted the frying pan and rocked it back and forth before snapping it in an upward motion, flipping the crepe.
"Could it be an adrenaline crash from the last few weeks?" Han suggested, hopeful that it could be the worst-case scenario.
Seungmin nodded as he closed the laptop. "It's possible. For now- just keep a close eye on her. Give her what she needs- the usual."
Leeknow thought for a moment, then added, "I think we need to take a few days off. Changbin and I have been at Topline nearly every day for three weeks. Felix and Hyunjin have been knee-deep in gathering intel. Han and Seungmin have spent countless hours hacking phone lines and surveillance systems. Chan has stayed on conference calls with other leaders, arranging what could be the biggest operation in our career. And I.N has been bedridden."
He paused for a brief moment as he tilted the pan, allowing the crepe to slide onto the plate and slinging the pan back on the stovetop.
He picked up the batter and poured it into the pan as he continued. "She has been taking care of I.N, helping everyone with their shit, AND designing the nursery. And that's- as I mentioned- just the last three weeks. We've literally been working overtime since we found out about Kwon's organization-"
He turned around and leaned against the edge of the counter as he crossed his arms over his chest before continuing. "That's five months, in case you're wondering. We were supposed to be hiding out to avoid the target on our backs and let Topline handle everything like JK insisted- yet even though we're not in the field, we're still heavily involved."
The silence was deafening as the four others processed what Leeknow said. He shook his head and turned back around to check the crepe.
Suddenly, the silence was broken, and all eyes landed on Felix when he threw himself against the back of the chair, raking his hand through his hair. "Fuck- target on our backs."
"Huh?" I.N questioned with a confused expression.
Felix shook his head as he dropped his hand in his lap. "Maybe it's nothing."
"Or maybe it's something- speak." Seungmin replied sternly.
Felix let out an exasperated sigh as he sat up and propped his forearms against the table. "One of the only times she spoke last night was to ask how many times we had been targeted before she got here. I told her there weren't many, and she acted like she didn't like the answer I gave her. You think she's scared? Like- really scared?"
Seungmin nodded as he pursed his lips. "That's probably what's happening. Since the attack, she stalks the trackers every time someone leaves the house. She's using way more dark humor lately, which is clearly a coping method for her. We need to discuss this with Chan, Changbin, and Hyunjin. If we don't do something soon, she'll end up spiraling."
"Go ahead and wake them up." Leeknow said as he turned around, wiping his hands on the towel he had draped over his shoulder. "Breakfast will be done soon, and it needs to be addressed before she wakes up."
"I'll wake them." Han said as he stood from his chair and stepped away from the table.

The three who were absent from the earlier conversation had just been brought up to speed. Concern, sadness, and guilt were the most prominent of the many emotions that clouded the atmosphere.
"Two weeks. Two weeks MINIMUM. In that time, I better not see anything Kwon related- I better not hear anything Kwon related." Chan sternly instructed as he panned his eyes to each of the men at the table. "I don't care what we do as long as it's on this island. Makes her happy. And gives her what she needs to get through this."
"We should suggest making wedding plans." Hyunjin suddenly chimed in with a hint of excitement, immediately lightening the atmosphere.
I.N smiled as he replied. "She's been itching to get started with those."
"And of course- work on the nursery." Han added as he stuffed his cheeks with his final bite. "You should see her when she's painting. A couple of days ago, I sat with her for a bit and watched her. Only time I've seen her that at peace is when she's standing by the ocean."
Felix popped his head up. "Ooo, that's another thing we can do. It's getting warmer during the day, so we can play on the beach and explore the island. We've been here for three months and haven't stepped foot past the home lot and main beach."
"I wonder if one on one girl time would help her- like open up." Changbin suggested as he leaned back and wiped his mouth with the napkin before dropping it in his plate. "I don't think she needs to just bottle it in like she is. She hasn't told us exactly what is going on with her, which is unusual for her, but maybe she'll feel comfortable opening up to someone- maybe Yeji, or hell- she's gotten close to Dae. Maybe invite her over?"
Chan nodded his head, "That's actually not a bad idea. We'll let Lily know that we're taking a break and give her freedom to decide what we do with it. What she needs- she gets. No questions asked."
Everyone nodded and agreed as they began standing to clear the table.
Leeknow glanced over at Seungmin, who was once again focusing on his laptop. "What the fuck have you been working so hard on since you woke up?"
Seungmin chuckled as he replied. "I'm shopping for cheesecakes."
