Lily's life has been nothing but struggle. Just when things couldn't get worse, her life takes a drastic turn. A turn for the better, or a turn for the worst?
⚠️TRIGGER...
"Did you enjoy shopping?" I.N asked before taking a bite of his burger.
Lily smiled and set her drink back on the table as she swallowed. "Very much so. Thank you, baby. I was going crazy being cooped up in the house. But seriously, buying all of that was not necessary." She replied, preparing for her next bite.
I.N shrugged his shoulders as he gazed lovingly at her. "You know the rules, darling. What our girl wants, she gets. End of story." He replied with his breathy accent, flashing her an assertive wink.
Lily laughed through the napkin, covering her full mouth. "Ok, but half of the stuff you got, I didn't ask for. I think you just like spending money." She teased through her giggles.
I.N stood from the table as he spoke. "You didn't have to ask. I could tell what you wanted by your expressions." He leaned down and kissed her forehead. "Like how I can tell that you want one of those ice creams over there, by the way you keep glancing over and staring at them, then watching for the line to go down. I'll be back." He chuckled as he turned and headed toward the line.
She smiled adoringly up at him as he turned to walk toward the counter and replied, "Mhmm, I guess I should work on my poker face then, huh?"
He twisted his head back with a cheeky grin and hummed, "Good luck with that."
She shook her head and giggled before shoving a bundle of french fries in her mouth. After a few minutes of casually scrolling through emails, she got a notification, which caused her to roll her eyes and shake her head as she smiled.
