Chapter 107: Soon

"Relax, angel. He'll be here soon." Hyunjin assured Lily after seeing her anxiously stare through the cafe windows.

Lily sighed and nodded her head as she reached for her water. "What's taking him so long?"

"You saw the parking lot, babygirl." Chan replied. "It was packed. I'm sure Felix was just having a hard time finding a spot."

Lily pursed her lips before sipping her water. Suddenly, she felt an unexpected lump in her throat as her eyes filled with tears.

"Hey, hey. What's wrong, love?" Han said, voice full of concern, immediately drawing the attention of the others at the table.

She shook her head and laughed out a sob, and replied. "I don't fucking know." She threw herself back in the chair and wiped the tears from her cheeks.

The men sympathetically gazed at Lily as Hyunjin pulled her against him and caressed her shoulder. After a moment, he glanced at the door and smiled. He tapped her shoulder and whispered, "Look angel. Your Lixie is here."

She quickly raised from his embrace and locked eyes with Felix, smiling with relief. As he stepped closer, his brows furrowed, seeing her red, tear stained cheeks. "What's wrong, sweetheart?" He asked, finally making it to the table.

Hyunjin stood and offered Felix his chair, feeling that Lily probably needed him in that moment. "She was just worried about you. Sit here." He moved to the empty seat across the table as Felix settled in next to her.

She relaxed in his arms and took a deep breath, inhaling his intoxicating scent. He pressed his lips against her forehead and whispered, "I'm here, sweetheart. I'm sorry it took so long."

She laughed mockingly at herself and shook her head. "No. I don't even know why the hell I'm crying. God, this is embarrassing."

Seungmin smiled and replied, "It's just your hormones, beautiful. Nothing to be embarrassed about."

She pulled away from Felix and took a deep breath, wiping the new tears from her cheeks. She glanced at all the loving faces staring back at her and smiled. "Stop staring at me like that." She teased.

"We can't help it, sweet girl. You're adorable." Leeknow replied with a wink.

She rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Yall are ridic- food! Yes!" She interrupted herself when the waiter approached their table.

The group chuckled in amusement at her sudden burst of excitement. As soon as her plate was placed in front of her, she took the first bite, melting back in her seat. "Soo good." She moaned as she slowly chewed.

Her moment of satisfaction was interrupted when Chan's phone rang. "It's Hwang." He said as he answered the call. Lily and the seven others stared anxiously as Chan carried on the conversation.

"Hwang's assistant has been detained pending investigation." Chan informed as he slipped his phone back into his jacket pocket.

"When will we know something?" I.N asked.

Chan locked eyes with him and confidently replied. "Soon."

"Good. I can't fucking believe Kwon has men inside government agencies." I.N growled as he aggressively picked at his plate. "You think he knows where Kwon is or if Brian is alive?"

"I fucking hope so. I want this shit resolved before our baby gets here." Lily hissed before shoveling her final bite of food into her mouth.

Changbin sat his napkin beside his plate and added. "Makes me sick, how close we were to total devastation. Chan- if you hadn't decided to attack Brian-"

"Changbin- Stop." Hyunjin mumbled under his breath, using his eyes to direct him to look at Lily, who was now staring blankly into her water glass with a fearful expression.

"Princess- I'm sorry. Are you ok?" Changbin immediately said upon noticing. "Princess?"

Felix tapped her thigh, snapping her out of her thoughts. "That didn't even register to me until now. What if-"

"Nope. Sweet girl, we're not going down that route." Leeknow interrupted sternly.

Seungmin signaled for the check as he added, "Exactly. The only thing we're focusing on today is spoiling you. All other subjects are off limits."

Lily haphazardly smiled and replied. "I wanna go ahead and shop for maternity clothes."

The group flashed varying puzzled expressions. "Already?" Han asked the question that was on everyone's minds.

Lily nodded. "Mhm. My bras are already too tight and uncomfortable, so why not just be prepared? I'm not getting a lot since I'll probably end up wearing yalls clothes most of the time. But I at least want a few outfits."

The boys smiled and nodded in agreement. "As you wish, my angel." Hyunjin replied, taking a final sip as the waiter placed the check on the table. "Let's stop and get my camera before we have our arms loaded with bags."

She rolled her eyes and scoffed in defense. "I swear! I'm not getting that much!"

"Mhmm. We'll see." Felix replied with an unconvinced tone and knowing smirk.

Leeknow carried Lily into the house, followed by the other seven men, each one carrying multiple bags and exhausted expressions. Leeknow carried her to her bedroom while the others carried the bags full of baby items and maternity clothes into the guest bedroom that would eventually be turned into the nursery.

After gathering back into the living room, Chan whispered to Felix, "Ok, let's see it."

The boys huddled around as Felix pulled the small, black velvet box out of his pocket. Their eyes widened and glistened when he opened it to reveal the breathtaking wedding set.

"Holy shit, the picture didn't do it justice!" Hyunjin whispered, almost too loudly.

"You sure we have to wait til her birthday?" Han asked as he took the ring from Felix to get a closer look.

"Yea, seriously. That's over a month away. I can't sit on this for that long." Changbin whined.

Hyunjin sighed and replied. "Guys. I know you want to ask her now. Trust me. So do I. But remember, her birthday has never been celebrated. We need to make sure her first celebration is unforgettable and this is the perfect way to do it."

Chan nodded and added, "Exactly. Plus- we've already sent out the invites. We need to stick to the plan. It has to be perfect for her."

Seungmin smiled, not taking his eyes off of the ring. "Yea, be patient. She'll be wearing that ring soon."
