Lily's life has been nothing but struggle. Just when things couldn't get worse, her life takes a drastic turn. A turn for the better, or a turn for the worst?
⚠️TRIGGER...
Lily sat at the computer station, reading through the files that JK had sent her. After reaching the final file, she stared in confusion, then began rapidly clicking back through them.
"There you are." Seungmin said as he entered the computer station.
Lily quickly glanced up at him, then immediately shifted her focus back to the computer. "Hey baby."
"You ok?" He asked, grazing his hand across her back as he took the seat next to her.
"Can you pass me the phone?" She replied, unintentionally ignoring his question.
He picked up the phone and handed it to her. "What's wrong, beautiful?" He asked more directly after seeing her slightly distressed expression.
She took a deep breath and exhaled slowly and deeply. "Hopefully nothing." She replied as she searched for a contact in her phone, then pushed the call button.
JK: Hiya Sparky! It's only been 2 weeks. Miss me already?
LILY: Hey Uncle J, listen. I was just looking through the files of the security that was here during our Code Red lockdown. Is this all you have?
JK: How many files did I send you?
LILY: Uh, let's see- 14.
JK: Then I guess that's all I have.
LILY: And these are all updated files, correct?
JK: Yep. I don't like your tone, Sparky. I've opened two doors for a snappy comeback, and it isn't like you to ignore them. I'm hurt.
LILY: I'm sorry. I think I may have just found something- well, better yet- didn't find something.
JK: I'm listening.
LILY: There was a guard here during that time that I specifically noticed because he wouldn't stop staring at me. The way he was staring- I made sure not to be near him without one of the boys. Anyway, there isn't a file on him.
JK: You said you have 14 files in front of you, correct?
LILY: Yep. But I'm certain he's not in these files. I'm gonna go through our surveillance and try to figure this out.
JK: Do that and call me with the results.
LILY: It may be a while. I'm gonna go through each file and locate the person in our surveillance. Where are we on who planted the reports and finding Brian and Kwon?
JK: Nothing concrete. Aren't you supposed to be on hiatus, Sparky?
LILY: Aren't you supposed to be better than me at making connections like this?
JK: HAHA! There she is. It's good to know you still care.
LILY: Don't tell anyone. I'd hate to have to kill you for ruining my reputation.
JK: Wouldn't dream of it. It was good to hear from you. Let me know what you figure out.
LILY: I will. Thanks Uncle J.
She put her phone down and immediately clicked on the surveillance tab. As she was typing the dates of the videos she needed, Seungmin spoke up. "Are we talking about the bald guy?"
Lily nodded and replied. "Yep. Can you get I.N for me?"
He stood up and kissed her forehead. "Yea, I'll be right back."
Lily smiled and tilted her head against his lips. "Thank you. Can you also bring me something for heartburn?"
"You've been eating spicy food since we got here last week. I think you need to back off since you keep getting heartburn." He suggested as he pushed his chair under the desk.
Lily shook her head, "It's worth it. Do we have any more of the flaming hot cheetoes, or did you eat them all?"
He shook his head and laughed. "Stealing my damn cheetoes."
She flashed a cheeky grin as she replied in a high pitched tone. "But you love me."
He rolled his eyes and exited the room. Lily turned back to the computers to search the surveillance. She began with the footage from the day security arrived. She zoomed on every face that she could see clearly and compared it to the photos of the guards in the files. She had only clearly identified two of the guards when Seungmin and I.N entered the room.
"Hey, my darling. You needed me?" He said softly as he leaned down for a quick kiss.
"Yes- but first-" she motioned for the cheetoe bag that Seungmin was holding.
The two chuckled at her as she tore open the bag, pulled a small bundle of cheetoes out, and popped them in her mouth. She sank back in her chair and closed her eyes as she chewed.
Seungmin arched his brow as he placed the heartburn medicine and water in front of her. "Hell, you're making me wish I was a cheetoe." He said teasingly.
Lily smirked as she swallowed, then opened her eyes. "So good." She hummed as she reached for her water. After gulping the water and taking her medicine, she explained the situation to I.N.
"-so what we need to do is go through and compare the files and footage to figure this out. There's nine and a half days of footage. I've already started with day one."
"Ok, I'll take day three through five. Send the link to the files and I'll display them on the overhead monitor." I.N replied as took a seat at the computer next to her.
Seungmin sat at the computer next to I.N. "And I'll start at day six."

"We're almost done and we haven't seen guard number 6 in any of the footage." Lily stated in an exasperated tone.
I.N nodded at sat back, spinning his chair from side to side. "So we have a file of a guard that was supposedly here but no footage of him being here-"
"-and footage of a guard but no file." Lily interrupted, completing his statement as she continued to scan the footage.
"What the fuck-" Lily suddenly growled.
Both boys immediately leaned in to see what Lily had seen in the footage that caused her reaction. Both of their eyes widened.
"Zoom in on that." I.N instructed with urgency in his tone.
"Oh fuck. We need everyone down here now." Seungmin quickly added as he pulled out his phone.
