I'm back at work and trying to grasp the fact that it's only been 3 days since everything went down. Now I'm back at work and still have to deal with this Monica mess while also remaining the badass business owner that I am.
I walk over to the coffee table in my office ready to start the morning meeting with my Diamonds.
"Alright, I'm hoping the rest of your weekends went well," I say sitting down.
"It went well," Hazel smiles.
"Uneventful," Jade shrugs.
Liam and Brian nodded their heads in agreeance. My Diamonds knew I wasn't one for small talk so they didn't hold over the conversation. I left them free time to catch up after the meeting my asking was more or less me being polite.
"Alright good if we're done with the small talk let's get to the meeting," I replied looking down at my notes.
"Uh No you don't," Liam said.
"Yeah you need to tell us about the rest of your weekend," Hazel agreed.
I look up at them and see all of my Diamonds looking at me expectantly. I knew this was coming but I planned on at least getting through the meeting before they accosted me.
"No," I say blankly.
"Awww common Boss, give us the Tea what happened after you left?" Jade asks.
"I am trying to run a business here, I am not going to discuss my relationship," I replied.
"Da Hell you're not we are invested in the story, You left us on a cliffhanger. You have to finish telling us what happened," Liam said.
I give him a straight face, "I am not here for your entertainment. You want drama watch a Tella Novela. I'm starting this meeting."
The 4 of them groaned unhappy with my reply.
"Now about the Hillshire wedding Jade, what song did they choose for their first dance?" I ask.
Jade looks down at her notes, "Oh they're dancing to, "Is you Single or naw," By the Curious Diamonds.
I shake my head at her antics. That's fine I'll get the information later, I'll just start with Hazel she's the most mature one of the Twins anyway. "Hazel, what is the color scheme for the event?"
Hazel flips the pages of her notebook checking her notes, "It's an earthy shade of Earl Grey."
I look at her confused, "Earl Grey?"
"Mhm ya know the Tea," she smiles.
I bite the inside of my cheek to keep myself from laughing refusing to give them the satisfaction. "Cute twins but we are in a meeting, I need you to remain focused."
I turn to Brian deciding to ask the more mature one of the bunch. "Brian can we please over the menu while these children get their lives."
He shakes his head at me, "I'm not discussing a mere morsel until you tell us what happened."
"And just so you know I'm not telling you a drink or a drop until you tell us," Liam adds crossing his arms defiantly.
"Sounds like a strike to me," Jade says.
"Oooh it's been a while since I've been involved in a good employee strike," Brian said smiling.
"I can fire you all and get me a new pair of Diamonds that are willing to work, I reply."
Jade rolled her yes at me, "Nobody else will put up with you and the crazy-ass workload you be throwing on us."
I stared at her thinking about what she said, "Yeah, you're probably right, I said laughing. I threw my notebook down on the table giving in. Fine, what do you want to know?"
