Sitting at Stoggie's a Cigar and Whiskey bar on the 30th waiting for Kyle to show. I look through the menu for the 3rd time out of bored more than need. A waitress by the name of Marissa keeps circling my table waiting for an order. I wave her off telling her I'm waiting for a friend. She gives me a soft sympathetic look as if I've been stood up. Seriously I'm a stud in a Cigar bar full of men who the hell would I get stood up by?
I shake my head and check my phone for updates from Trinity letting me know she's on her way to meet up with Monica. I bottle down the annoyance that she's choosing to come to everybody but me. I'm grateful she chose to see Trinity they needed to fix their relationship first before she and I did but the man who was walking up 20 minutes late she could have skipped over.
I open my mouth to call him out for being late but he tosses me the one thing in the world that could shut me up. I catch the key to my Kaijara's innocence and dangle it in front of my eyes. I stare at it like I'm Gollum from the lord of the Rings. "My Precious," I say in a creepy mocking voice.
Kyle sits down in his chair all exasperated like, "There's my excuse for being late. Do you have any idea how difficult it was to convince her to put that damn thing on?"
I smile at him pleased to know that she put up a fight. I would have been hurt if she had automatically submitted to him. It also made the fact that she submitted to it in the first place all the more sweeter. That meant somewhere deep in her mind she was thinking of me, because there be no chance in hell she'd put it on if she wasn't. Monica would have lived on the streets before submitting to something like this before me.
"Damn, I wish I could have watched her breaking down before she gave in that's the best part."
As soon as I finished my statement my phone dinged. I looked up at Kyle who was running his hand through his hair. "I've really given up all morals when it comes to you."
I picked up my phone and there I saw my Kaijra in Kyle's study when he presented her the box to her pussies freedom. "Damn Kyle you might just move your way up from acquaintance to friend."
Kyle raised his hand and waved the waitress who was circling me over. "No, I'm good. If being your friend is more stressful than being your damn acquaintance I want no parts."
I shrugged my shoulders and saved the video to my Monica folder to watch later.
The waitress walked over and gave me a little fist pump as if she was congratulating me for my "date" showing up.
"I'll have a double shot of your most expensive whiskey and a Gurkha Black Dragon cut. Oh and put it on her tab," Kyle said waving his hand toward me.
The waitress looked up at me for confirmation he had just ordered $2,000 worth of merchandise and threw it all on me. I chuckled at him and nodded my head in approval to the waitress, "Same for me."
The waitress walked off taking our menus with her. Once she was out of hearing range the two of us continued our conversation. "I told her she'd be sitting in on Kaylan's classes today. That was another scene. You really have your hands full with that one."
I closed my eyes imagining that tantrum too. "Yeah she has a mouth you wouldn't believe. I'm sure she filtered it for you."
"She did though I could see the words she was saying running across her mind. She doesn't hide her emotions well," Kyle replied.
"No, she doesn't, at least not the unpleasant ones. The more pleasant ones she seems to like to hide," I replied.
The waitress made her way over to our table handing us our expensive entrees.
He took a match and lit his cigar puffing it until the cherry held, "Well if everything goes well tonight hopefully she'll start embracing them."
I smelled my cigar taking in its leathery scent before lighting it. I took a couple of puffs and noticed the buttery notes and a hint of spice. I nodded my head to Kyle who hummed around his own at the recognition that he had great taste in smoke.
"No, it'll be the exact opposite. This is going to be where everything goes to hell. After tonight she'll push herself even further from me, then I'll have to wait for her to fight her way back."
Monica was going to work at Kyle's club tonight. Which meant she'd be an uncollored sub surrounded by Dom's who are looking for the perfect submissive to take up. Let alone sitting in on a submissive training class with future Dom's lingering around. I was literally putting my lamb in a den of wolves and hoping that she didn't get devoured.
"I told you I'd handle that if it became a situation. Have faith in her and what yaw have. I know things went left that day at the hotel, and I apologize about that. But I have no intention of letting it happen again," he replied.
"I know what you said and against my better judgment, I trust you. But Monica will always be Monica she's going to lash out until she puts the puzzle pieces together. And because she's an emotional wreck she's not going to see it for what it is. But I've already accepted that I'm the bad guy until proven innocent."
He nodded his head accepting my words as the truth. As an uncollared sub, I had no control over whether or not she allowed herself to fall into another Dom's arms. I didn't think she would swoon so easily or at least I hoped I meant enough to her that that wouldn't happen. But I had to release her to the wild to give her the option if she truly wished to be free. It scared me but it was a risk I had to take.
"With big risks come big rewards," Kyle said lifting his glass.
"Let's hope so," I said clinking his glass.
