Jake is sitting on the couch next to Carrington one afternoon. His eyes occasionally look away from his phone and towards the brunet before looking back at his device in his hands.

Carrington sat next to Jake, bored out of his mind. He'd been scrolling through his phone for the past hour and nothing interesting had come up. So he leaned against Jake, sighing as he did. "What are you doing?"

"Same thing as you." Jake replied, before clicking his phone off. He leans back and places his hands behind his head. "Being bored sucks."

Carrington chuckled at Jake's response. "Yeah, it does. Especially when you're stuck with nothing to do." He leaned back as well, letting his head rest on Jake's shoulder.

Jake feels the weight of Carrington's head on his shoulder. He looks down at the brunet. His eyes are softening a bit.

Carrington looks up at Jake, a small smile on his face. "Can I ask you something?"

"Uhh, sure dude. what's up man?" Jake asked as he returned the smile. Mimicking the facial expression.

Carrington paused for a moment, his smile fading. "Do you ever feel like you're missing out on something?" He asked, his voice soft and uncertain.

Jake furrowed his eyebrows. "What do you mean?" He asked softly as he tilted his head to the side.

Carrington shifted a bit, moving closer to Jake. "Like, there's this feeling inside of me that something is wrong. Like I'm not where I'm supposed to be." He explained, looking away from Jake. "I don't know how to describe it. It's just this... emptiness, I guess."

Jake didn't know what to say. "Oh, uh." He tried to say something but no words were coming out. He just rubbed Carrington's shoulder.

Carrington leaned into Jake's touch, his eyes closing for a moment. "It's okay, you don't have to say anything. I just needed to get it off my chest." He said quietly.

"Oh no worries." Jake replied as he smiled a bit, nodding. "I think it's just because we're bored, and that can cause you to get too much in your head, you know?"

Carrington chuckled softly, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, you're probably right. I guess I've been thinking too much lately." He said, opening his eyes and looking up at Jake again. "I just wish there was something we could do to pass the time."

"Me too, I just don't know what we could do." Jake replied as his eyes flickered away to look at something else. Feeling a bit of blush rise to his face.

Carrington noticed the blush on Jake's face and smirked. "Are you blushing?" He teased, poking Jake's cheek playfully.

"No!" Jake laughs as he swatted Carrington's hand away gently. He shakes his head and grins.

Carrington chuckled and continued to poke Jake's cheek. "You totally are! Your face is all red!" He teased, a playful glint in his eyes.

"Shut up, no it's not!" Jake covered his face as he groaned. Carrington laughed harder, grabbing Jake's wrists and pulling his hands away from his face. "Don't hide it! It's cute!" He exclaimed, grinning widely.

"Stop! No it's not!!!" Jake whined in embarrassment, "AUGHHHHHH!!!" He tries to look away, face is bright red at this point for being called out.

Carrington couldn't help but laugh even harder at Jake's whining. He pulled Jake closer to him, wrapping his arms around him in a playful hug. "Aww, don't be embarrassed. I'm just messing with you!" He said, still grinning.

"Fuck off, dudeee, naurrrrrrrr!!" Jake hides his face into Carrington's shoulder. "I was just thinking of something.." He mumbled.

Carrington chuckled and ran his fingers through Jake's hair, trying to soothe him. "Thinking of what?" He asked, his voice soft and teasing.
