Jake and his crush Carrington are laying together on Carrington's bed. Jake rolled over and looked at Carrington. Secret Love in his eyes.

Carrington was blissfully unaware, as usual. He was too busy scrolling through his TikTok feed, a content expression on his face.

He hummed to himself, scrolling past various edits and short videos of himself.

"Hey Carrington?" Jake softly spoke up.

He looked over at Jake, his head still propped up on the pillow.“Hm?” He hummed out, a smile still plastered on his face.

"What's a soulmate?" Jake asked out of the blue. His eyes full of love and affection for his crush.

Carrington paused, a bit caught off guard by the question. He blinked a few times, trying to process it.

He shifted so that he was laying on his side, his arm under his head. “Hm.. I’d say a soulmate is someone you feel a connection with. Someone you feel a deep bond with. They just *click* with you, y’know?”

Jake nodded. "Do you have a soulmate?" He asked softly as he watched Carrington put his phone away

Carrington let out a small hum, pondering the question. He stared up at the ceiling for a moment, his expression a mix of thoughtfulness and indifference.

“I dunno.” He shrugged. “Maybe I do, Jake. But I’ve never really looked for one, so who knows?”

"Yeah.. who knows" Jake muttered as he fidgeted with his dice necklace.

Carrington’s eyes flicked over to the necklace. He watched Jake play with it for a moment before he spoke again.

“I see you still have that necklace on.” He commented, referring to the dice.

"Always do." Jake smiled as he rolled over. Facing Carrington. He glanced at Carrington's lips. "Hey.. do you wish you had a soulmate?"

Carrington’s eyes met Jakes a hint of curiosity in his gaze. He noticed your glance at his lips and couldn’t help but smirk a bit.

“Hm… I dunno Jake.” He repeated. “On one hand, having a soulmate sounds nice. But on the other hand, it feels like a lot of pressure to have that one person you’re destined to be with. Don’t you think?”

Jake nodded, his heart aching a bit. "Do you.. like anyone?"

Carrington chuckled softly at Jake's question, his eyes studying Jake's face. He saw the ache in Jake's heart and his expression softened.

“I do.” He admitted. “But I’m not sure they like me back.”

Jake fidgeted with his necklace again. "I do too, but I don't they like me back either.."

Carrington’s smirk faded as he noticed Jake's fidgeting. He reached out and gently took Jake's hand, stopping you from messing with the necklace.

“You’re gonna break the chain if you keep playing with it like that.” He said softly.

"Oh. Right.." Jake nodded a bit. His eyes look at Carrington, admiring him.

Carrington’s thumb gently brushed over Jake's knuckles, his touch gentle and affectionate.

He held Jake's hand in his, his gaze never leaving his face.“You really like them, don’t you?” He asked, a hint of concern in his voice.

"I do, alot" Jake nodded. His brown eyes full of love as he is looking at Carrington

Carrington’s heart ached a bit at the sight of Jake's love-filled eyes.

He gave Jake's hand a light squeeze, his own gaze filled with a mix of emotions. He wanted to tell him how he felt, but the fear of rejection held him back.

Jake asked, "You really like your soulmate?"

Carrington’s eyes darted away for a moment, as if he was contemplating his answer. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly before responding.

“Yeah, I do. I really do.” He said, his voice a little softer than usual. “But I know they don’t like me back. They have someone else they love, I know that for sure.”

Jake leaned in a bit. He pecked Carrington's cheek softly.

Carrington’s eyes widened slightly at the unexpected kiss on his cheek. He felt his heart skip a beat, his face turning a faint shade of pink.

He turned to look at Jake a mix of surprise and affection in his gaze. He didn’t know how to respond, so he simply stayed silent, his hand still holding Jake's.

"I like you, soulmate" Jake blushed. "I feel that connection with you." He confessed

Carrington’s breath hitched in his throat as Jake confessed his feelings. He felt his heart race, his grip on Jake's hand tightening ever so slightly.

“You… do?” He managed to ask, his voice a bit shaky. He searched Jake's face, looking for any sign of deception or teasing. But all he saw was sincerity and love.

"Yeah but you don't. You said so. You have a different soulmate." Jake looked down.

Carrington felt a pang of guilt as Jake reminded him of his earlier words. He reached out with his free hand and gently tilted his chin up so that he were looking at him.

“I never said I don’t like you.” He said softly.

Jake felt Carrington kiss his cheek. ",Wait, so I'm your...."

Carrington chuckled softly at Jake's surprise, his lips lingering on Jake's cheek for a moment before pulling away.

“Yes, you’re my soulmate, you idiot.” He teased, a playful smile on his face.

"I love you," Jake leaned in and kissed Carrington's lips

Carrington’s eyes widened in shock at Jake's confession and sudden kiss.

But he quickly melted into it, his hand moving from Jake's chin to the back of his head, pulling Jake closer.

He deepened the kiss, his heart pounding in his chest. He poured all his feelings into the kiss, the months of hidden affection finally being expressed.

After the confession and passionate kiss, Carrington and Jake laid in bed, wrapped in each other’s arms.

Jake rested his head on his chest.
“I can’t believe I was so oblivious for so long.” He said softly, a hint of amusement in his voice. “We could’ve been together so much sooner.”

Carrington chuckled, his chest rumbling beneath Jakes head. He gently ran his fingers through Jake's hair, his touch affectionate and loving.

“Yeah, we could’ve.” He agreed, a small smile on his face. “But I guess we’re making up for lost time now, huh?”

"Damn right," Jake agreed with a smile.

The two soulmates cuddle in bed, happy that they got their feelings told.
