A storm is raging on very loudly. A thunderstorm. Jake is in little space. He is home alone. Johnnie is in Europe with his girlfriend Grace.

and Carrington was out of the house doing a modeling appointment.

Jake is covering his ears and shutting his eyes tightly. Rocking and hitting the back of his head on the wall behind him. His eyes shut extremely tight to try and block out the noises and sounds but he couldn't. The storm was too loud and bright.

Carrington had just come back from his appointment, his car driving through the rain and storm. He had a hood over his head and his arms were crossed, looking out the window as the rain poured down.

He soon pulled up to the house and turned off the car. He looked up at the house and saw the lights were on. He raised an eyebrow, wondering why Jake was still awake. He knew Johnnie wasn’t home.

Suddenly the storm was so extreme the power went out, Jake squeaked in fear as he is just sitting in the hallway.

He is gripping at his hair now and looking around. Now sitting alone, in the dark, with a storm.

Carrington cursed under his breath as the power went out. He got out of the car and walked to the front door, quickly opening it.

“Jake?” He called out, shutting the door behind him. “Are you okay?”

Jake was to frozen in place to move. He hides his face into his knees. Closing his eyes tight. Hands over his ears as he is letting out little screeches.

Carrington quickly took his shoes off and walked over to where Jake was. He crouched down in front of him and placed a hand on his shoulder.“Jake, it’s me.” He said softly, his voice calm and gentle. “You’re okay.”

Jake squeaked out, "Carri..?" Thats when Carrington realized Jake is in little space also.

Carrington was taken back by the realization that Jake was in little space.
He moved his hand to Jake’s chin and gently lifted his head up. “Hey, look at me.”

Jake is freaking out, screaming. "NUH-UH- CARRI ITS SO LOUD AND SCARY!!!" As he was grabbing at his hair tightly.

Carrington’s heart ached at the sight of Jake being so scared. He quickly moved his hands to Jake’s wrists, trying to get him to stop pulling at his hair.

“I know it’s loud, I know.” He said gently, trying to keep his voice calm. “But you need to let go of your hair. You’re hurting yourself.”

Jake is crying as he is covering his ears again when a loud crash of thunder came through. Thats when Carrington remembers Jake's noise cancelling headphones.

Carrington mentally slapped himself for not remembering the headphones sooner. He quickly got up and rushed to Jake’s room, grabbing the headphones off his desk and returning to Jake.

He knelt back down in front of him and placed the headphones on his head. “Here, these will help. They’ll block out the noise.”

"Carri I've been so scared. It so loud. It to loud.." Jake paused when he feels the headphones on his head. he started to calm down. "can we go to your room, Carri.??"

Carrington nodded and gave Jake a gentle smile. “Of course we can. Come on, let’s go.”

He helped Jake up from the floor and held his hand as he led him to his room. Once they were there, he sat down on the bed and patted the spot next to him.

Jake crawls underneath the blankets with his headphones on. He sniffles as he hides under them.

Carrington watched as Jake crawled under the blankets, his heart aching at how scared and vulnerable he looked.

He gently pulled the blankets back and climbed in next to him, wrapping his arms around him and holding him close.
“You’re safe now.” He whispered, gently stroking Jake’s hair. “I’ve got you.”

Jake felt his anxiety go at ease. The power came back on when the storm passes. He squints his eyes. "Its too bright.. turn it off,"

Carrington chuckled softly and nodded, reaching over to turn off the light. “Okay, it’s off now.”

He laid back down next to Jake, pulling him closer and letting him rest his head on his chest. “Better?”

"Ish storm gone?" Jake asked as he kept the headphones on for a moment before he takes them off slowly.

Carrington looked down at Jake and smiled. “Yeah, the storm is gone. You’re okay now.”

He continued to gently stroke his hair, enjoying the feeling of having him close. “How are you feeling?”

"Sleepy," Jake yawned as he sets the headphones on the nightstand. Cuddling up to his caregiver and closing his eyes.

Carrington chuckled again and wrapped his arms around Jake, holding him close as he snuggled up to him.

“You can sleep, baby.” He whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of his head. “I’ll be right here when you wake up.”

"No more storm?" Jake asked in a squeaky voice.

Carrington smiled and shook his head. “No more storms, I promise.”He continued to hold Jake, rubbing his back soothingly. “You’re safe now. I’ll protect you from any more storms, okay?”

"Otay, nini Carri" Jake closes his eyes as he cuddles up to Carrington and goes to sleep.

Carrington smiled warmly as Jake drifted off to sleep. He continued to hold him close, his heart swelling with affection.

“Goodnight, baby.” He whispered, gently stroking his hair. “Sweet dreams.”
