TW: yelling, Argumentive behaviors (obv), drinking!, overstimulation/meltdown!

------

Jake was sitting at the table. A bottle of booze in front of him. He's been overstimulated lately, and very irritable.

Carrington was done with a TikTok and sat down across from him. He noticed the irritation on his face and decided to try and calm him down. "Hey, are you alright?"

Jake didn't respond. Pulling his sleeves over his hands as he grabbed the bottle, downing a swig.

Carrington leaned over and gently took the bottle from his hands. "You've had enough. Let's talk."

"Fuck off." Jake replied, rolling his earthy brown eyes as he gets up from his kitchen seat.

Carrington's eyes widened. He was shocked at the response. "Hey! Watch your mouth. I'm just trying to help."

"No! Just leave me the fuck alone!" Jake balled his fists as he walked out of the kitchen.

Carrington sighed, frustrated with his behavior. He followed him into the living room, determined to talk to him. "I'm not going to leave you alone when you're acting like this. Tell me what's wrong."

Jake didn't speak, he just abruptly went upstairs. He went into his room, slamming the door.

Carrington felt a pang of concern as he heard the door slam. He walked up the stairs and knocked on Jake's door. "Jake, can we please talk? I'm worried about you."

Jake opened the door, he felt overstimulated. But was hiding it with anger. "Look, Carrington. Just leave me the hell alone! I am fine, okay?! Just go mind your own damn business." he sneered.

Which made Carrington angry.

Carrington was starting to get frustrated with his attitude. "No, you're not fine. You're clearly upset and you're taking it out on me. Why are you being so damn difficult?"

"Why are you being annoying?!" Jake shouts back, slamming the door on his roommates face.

Carrington stood outside the door, seething with anger. He clenched his fists and took a deep breath to calm himself down. "You know what? Fine. I'll leave you alone. But when you're ready to act like a normal person and have a conversation, I'll be here. Don't expect me to be your punching bag."

Jake felt his heartache. He didn't want to show being vulnerable however, so he yelled again. "Get away from my door!"

Carrington heard the pain in his voice, but he was still angry. He took a step back from the door. "Fine. I'm gone. But I hope you realize that you're pushing away the people who care about you."

Jake heard footsteps going away. He slides down his wall. Flapping his hands as he felt his breathing get shaky

.Jake knew Carrington left, by hearing his footsteps fade away. He grips his red hair tightly, hyperventilating as he shuts his eyes tightly.

But Carrington quickly turned around on his feet and walked back.

Carrington heard the sound of hyperventilation and couldn't take it anymore. He took a deep breath and gently knocked on the door again. "Jake, I know you don't want to talk right now, but I can hear you panicking. Please let me in."
