Carrington awoke in the middle of the night with his boyfriend Jake not by his side.

Carrington slowly opened his eyes, feeling the cold absence of Jake beside him. He looked around the room, disoriented and a bit worried.

"Jake?" he called out softly, his voice groggy with sleep.

But no response came in return.

Carrington frowned, feeling a pang of concern in his chest. He sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He glanced at the clock on the bedside table and saw that it was 3 AM.

"Where could he be?" he muttered to himself, swinging his legs over the side of the bed.

Carrington decided to check downstairs. But when he walked downstairs, he noticed that Jake's car was even gone!

Carrington's worry deepened as he walked downstairs and saw that Jake's car was gone. He felt a sense of panic rising in his chest.

"What the hell?" he muttered, his mind racing with possibilities. He hurriedly grabbed his phone from the coffee table, hoping to find a message or something from Jake.

No response, no calls, no texts. There is absolutely nothing. Jake is missing. And Carrington is home alone. Johnnie (friend and roommate) is out with his girlfriend Grace tonight, so he was completely alone.

Carrington's heart pounded in his chest as he scrolled through his phone, searching for any sign of Jake. But there was nothing. No texts, no calls, no messages. It was like he had vanished into thin air.

The realization that he was home alone hit him hard. He felt a pang of fear, knowing that Jake was out there somewhere, alone and possibly in trouble. He paced back and forth in the living room, his mind racing with thoughts and scenarios.

Carrington's worry turned into frustration and anger as he continued to pace back and forth. He couldn't believe that Jake would just disappear like this, without any warning or explanation.

"Where the hell is he?" he muttered, his hands clenched into fists. "He knows better than to do something like this. It's dangerous."

Suddenly the sound of a car pulling into the driveway can be heard after 45 minutes. It was Jake's car!

Carrington's head snapped up as he heard the sound of a car pulling into the driveway. He recognized the sound as Jake's car and felt a mix of relief and anger wash over him.

He rushed to the front door, his heart pounding in his chest. He opened the door and stepped outside, his eyes immediately locking onto Jake's figure as he got out of the car.

Jake closes the car door once he exited and locked the doors. A small 7-eleven bag in his other hand.

Carrington watched as Jake closed the car door and locked it, a 7-eleven bag in his hand. He clenched his jaw, his anger and worry returning in full force.

"Where the hell have you been?" he demanded, his voice low and harsh. "It's 4 in the morning, Jake."

Jake looked up and noticed Carrington. "Hi, baby" he greeted sweetly and kissed his cheek before he went off to enter inside the home.

Carrington's anger faltered for a moment as Jake kissed his cheek and greeted him sweetly. But he quickly regained his composure, feeling a pang of irritation at how nonchalant Jake was acting.

He followed Jake inside, his eyes narrowing as he watched him head towards the kitchen. "Don't 'hi baby' me," he said sternly. "You have some explaining to do.
