Jake and Carrington are laying in the movie room. No movie was playing. The TV was off and the two were just spending time together. Joking around and such. But as the hours got later. That's when they started a deep talk.

Jake said, "Hey Carrington?" As he is laying on his side. "How do you know if you love someone?"

Carrington turned his head to look at Jake, a curious expression on his face.

"Hm? Why do you ask Jake?"
He inquired, shifting his position slightly to get more comfortable.

"I just want to know what you think, that's all." Jake replied. His brown eyes are full of light and curiosity.

Carrington smiled softly, appreciating the sincerity in Jake's eyes.

"Well..."
He began, pausing for a moment to gather his thoughts."I think that love is different for everyone. It's something that develops over time and can manifest in different ways."

"Like what different ways?" Jake tilted his head as his eyes sparkled in love towards Carrington. He has a crush on Carrington and has for a while, but he's scared to tell him. In fact he's so scared of being rejected and heartbroken. So he just kept the crushing to himself... At least for now.

"Well, for example..."
Carrington began to explain, looking up at the ceiling as he spoke.

"For some people, love is all about physical touch. They feel a deep connection with their partner through physical intimacy."He then turned his gaze back to Jake, his eyes softening as he looked at him.

"Well no shit, i know that one." Jake smiled, his eyes softening in return. "But you said theres different ways, that's just one." He teased.

Carrington chuckled, rolling his eyes playfully at Jake's comment."Alright, smartass. I was just giving an example."He retorted.

"Hey. Give me another example." Jake beamed as he looked up at the ceiling with a smile on his face.

"Hmm..."
Carrington hummed in thought, trying to come up with another example. He loved seeing that smile on Jake's face, and he wanted to continue talking just to keep him happy.

"Well, some people experience love through shared interests. They enjoy doing things together and find comfort in being around each other." Carrington says.

"What's a soulmate?" Jake suddenly asked out of the blue as he locked his eyes with Carrington's.

Carrington was slightly taken aback by the sudden question, but he quickly recovered. He met Jake's gaze, his expression softening.

"A soulmate is someone who you feel a deep connection with. They complete you in a way that no one else can, and you just know that they are the person you are meant to be with."He explained, his hand is now resting on Jake's hip.

Jake blushed faintly as he feels Carrington's hand on his hip. He smiled. "Do you think you'll find your soulmate oneday?"

Carrington chuckled softly at the blush on Jake's cheeks, finding it endearing. He shifted his body slightly, his hand moving from Jake's hip to gently brush a strand of hair out of his face.

"Maybe I already have..."He said quietly, his eyes never leaving Jake's.

Jake didn't understand what he meant. "oh. I haven't.." he replied, feeling his heart began to ache.

Carrington noticed the change in Jake's expression and demeanor, and he gently cupped his cheek in his hand.

"Why do you say that, darling?"
He asked, his voice filled with concern.
