꧁────────♡-♡-♡────────꧂
The last two days consisted mainly of sleeping and planning non-stop.
After your training session with Lance- which, to be honest, was way too long and intense to be anything but unhealthy- you walked around the next day like a corpse. The first thing you did after loading up Red with your and Xyra's supplies and weapons and setting course to Liadore, was to sleep.
It seemed like the both of you had something heavily weighing on your mind and you coped with it by excessively training tonight. You wondered how long Lance had been doing this; it was the first time you've noticed him, but then again, you were away for way too long at a time to really notice anything going on at the Castle.
The missions were occupying you way too much.
The amount of time you've spent on them already probably wasn't healthy, you knew that, but you also couldn't find it in you to care. Besides, Xyra hasn't said anything about it either, so maybe it wasn't even as bad as you thought.
Training with Lance really helped you tire yourself out so much, that you didn't have the energy to worry, which was somehow a good feeling; something you hadn't experienced for a long time. Maybe you'd do this more often once you got back. You were sure he wouldn't mind you joining.
As for the planning, you and Xyra were doing a lot of progress. You planned your stay for the next two and a half days on Liadore. You'd be building your base deep in the woods; somewhere Cyran wouldn't show up during his "hunting sessions" either.
The devices that would turn your appearance to that of a Liadoran worked pretty well too. You did find out that you couldn't pause the disguise once you started the 12 hour session, though, so you had to be careful about how to time it. After the twelve hours, these devices had to charge for about 5 hours again.
Once the two of you showed up in the city, you'd pretend to be hunters from a far away town who travelled there for the festival. You researched the town, Bagny, from which you would be pretending to be from. Far enough so nobody would notice you weren't actually from there but not too random to be too suspicious. It was a town way in the North, with around 3700 residents and a cold climate.
Hunters and miners were the most common jobs there, but since you didn't want to research the minerals there much, you settled for being hunters. There weren't too many animals in this cold climate anyway, which would make the research a whole lot easier.
Over the course of two days, the both of you drilled every little piece of information into your heads and made an effort to pick up on their mannerisms through videos you managed to get your hands on. A few interviews for the national news, some web videos and so on.
The Bagny people spoke a little different than the people of the Royal city. They seemed to not only speak louder, which might be a byproduct of the many loud snowstorms in the winter seasons, but a lot simpler too. Rarely did you see anyone speak eloquently, which might be due to their limited schooling. In a place that barely survived off of their resources, hunting or working might just be more of a priority than pursuing higher education. You wondered why Cyran's family never funded this place properly, or helped them out properly.
