You looked out the windows of Red, listening to the constant humming of the machinery inside. The stars clustered in the form of a swirl; red, blue and purple hues decorating the blackness of space.

In between all these rushed missions and the chaos, you almost forgot to appreciate the beauty of it all. This was something you had once dreamed of.

You were sitting on the ground, not feeling like using the chair right now for whatever reason. While you rubbed your fingertips together, you thought of yesterday.

After the execution, you immediately tried to solve the next issue at hand: their missing leaders.
Everything happened rather fast. In a matter of a few hours, you had set up a sort of parliament of a few of every region.
With the approval of everyone present, you appointed Garrick as authority to keep order and manage the council.

You were glad Garrick was okay with this. Now he had a reason to stay on Laidore; to make this planet a place where something like what happened to his son would never take place again.

Luckily, Liadore was now a true ally of Voltron.
With the ressources and intellectuals this planet had, especially in the future with new management, you felt safe to say you were backed up pretty well.

You were still not sure how to deal with Cyran's death yet though.
You sighed, leaning back against a wall. It was weird that he was dead now; everything that ever happened between just the two of you were nothing but a faint memory in your mind now. If you died or forgot, it'd be like these moments never existed.

Your first meeting in the woods, your conversations; you were already starting to forget some things. It was better this way, but still left you feeling a little confused.

You were not as angry or excited, or literally anything, as you expected. You thought of this moment over and over and over before it happened. You felt more accomplished and satisfied then, than now that it was behind you.

The problem was eliminated, no one was left to blame anymore, yet you all still had to live with it. Nothing would ever erase the nights spent in these cells. Maybe that's what's keeping you from feeling better. You can punish the culprit, but it won't undo the damage.

Layka was still gone, her family was still missing a person- that is, if anyone of them is alive to grieve her at all.

The others, Lexi and Elian, how could they move on the same after this? It completely changed the trajectory of their lives.
Would they have joined the rebellion if they hadn't experienced the enemy this closely?

It wasn't enough to kill these people, but what else could you possibly do? You thought about it this whole time but it was a useless thought to entertain. There was nothing.

It was probably time to join the team again and focus on bringing peace to the universe.

With Lotor as the new emperor, the Zirakal and everything was now a thing of the past. You had full access to every document and protected files of the empire to make sure.
