You walked up and down your Lion, raising your arm to look at your watch every few seconds. Lotor and Xyra weren't there yet.

There was still about half an hour until the meet-up, but Allura insisted on getting there early.

Or rather, she insisted on going and blasting at him at first sight, but you managed to calm her down and convince her to stay patient.

Mainly because Xyra was with him, and it was best to hear his side first before judging the situation.

To be frank, the conversation did get a little heated when Romelle chimed in. She swore up and down that Lotor was evil and there was no reason to defend a monster like that.

You understood where she was coming from, but she simply did not have enough evidence to back up her claim of what Lotor did, so the rest of the team compromised on hearing Lotor out and blasting him afterward.

The rest of the team, minus Shiro and Keith.

They were still gone. Apparently Keith would join in later on since it would take a while for him to get back from the Galra empire without any wormholes.

Without them, you couldn't form Voltron to fight Lotor anyway. And even then, you wouldn't join in. You wouldn't let that happen.

"Guys, they're arriving," Lance notified you through the comms.

Your head snapped to the window. In the distance, you could see the ships getting bigger, closing in. They arrived rather early as well.

"Don't leave your ships just yet," Allura instructed. "Let them exit first."

"Sure," you mumbled, shaking the adrenaline from your legs. You jumped up and down, trying to calm yourself. It was like your body was preparing to fight when that was the opposite of what you were planning to do right now.

You had to be calm for this.

Coran, Krolia and Romelle waited in the Castle that was hovering above the atmosphere, ready to back you up in case of emergency.

You wondered what Keith's mother thought of you now. Keith must have described you differently from what she got to see of you these past days, especially now.

But then again, you were just trying to do the right thing, the objectively most logical plan, with the highest probability of succeeding. What was wrong with that?

The Galra empire could not go back to its old ways. Would the Zirakal happen again, then? Maybe people caught on to what you did to the attendees; would they try to imprison you again to get their revenge? Sell you to someone worse than Cyran?

You took a deep breath. You wouldn't get close enough to anyone and let them fool you like this again, but who knew what tactics these people still had up their sleeves.
