w gruncie rzeczy, jesteśmy worami mięsa, kości, i flaków. ale w tym worze mieści się mózg, a mózg to wciąż niezbadana złożoność, która z prostego wora potrafi uczynić święty graal.

genesis: i love november (and the whole autumn & winter part of the year), and wanted to draw something within that vibe. I started with that deep purplishviolet color; coz november is dark, brown, kinda reddish bc some bushes etc have red branches, and the purple just makes me think of autumn, partly coz then plums are in season, so i wanted to add it into the mix bc it feels to me like a juicy, rich color and my brain lowkey tastes colors. This year i generally started liking purple (was meh abt it previously) bc it creates a contrast to "typical" autumn colors, and that makes the whole palette more vibrant, stimulating, and joyful; which is fairly perfect for the abundant part of autumn. (im taking it srsly coz i take joy of life srsly and enjoying seasons is part of enjoying life :D). I added grey, coz november is deadness; the shape is irrelevant tho it might be interpreted as "getting closer to the nothingness of winter" which november is a breach between the harvesty, abundant part of the year and the dead, devoid part of the year. So there's that. And then i felt like adding some contrasting colors. Been learning a bit abt color combinations, so maybe it was just driven by esthetics; but when i thought abt it later on, i figured it still makes sense [if one was to force one...]: november's deadness is a sharp CONTRAST, co nie, to october's and september's rich colors and abundance of food; and that contrast works similarly like memento mori stuff does: it increases our appreciation of the "good". And so november - and dry winter, so, very much a stereotypical november landscape tho nowadays global warming is making it a normal winter landscape ._. - is like the seasonal embodiment of memento mori. It results in that kinda contrasty drawing of some darkness and greyness, and then some juicy, vibrant colors and playful shapes [the green ones look a bit like bugs or some bacteria which certain parts of my brain find utterly disgusting, but that's beside the point].
and hence the title of the drawing: november - coz it's abt november - flavor - coz it's kind of inspired by how november "tastes" to me bc of its color palette but also bc of how it makes me feel coz of the effect of that contrast on my perception and appreciation - is a grave raver (if u know that song "rave in the grave") coz memento mori inspires one to carpe diem (which doesn't necessarily mean having a rave, but it's just a rhyming, playful title, it's not perfect).
