Chapter 381: Diabolical Madness

After being brutalized by Sister as she dragged me through the forest after having just embarrassed me, we finally came to a halt, prompting me to push myself off the ground as I gracefully landed beside her.

"Next time, allow me to stand, Sister." Said Elif lightly with a frown as he stared intensely at Elaine while dirt, mud, leaves, and branches stuck to his body.

Getting no reaction out of Sister, I inwardly grunted and expelled in a quick burst, cleaning myself as I returned to looking as phenomenal as usual, except for my crotch as my semen leaked down the side of my leg, causing me to sigh in both annoyance and embarrassment.

"Ah! Brother, look, right there! A Diabolical!" Stated Elaine quietly with a large smile as he grasped Elif's arm while pointing directly in front of her.

Grumbling under my breath at Sister's lack of concern for my situation, I followed her finger and looked in the direction she was pointing at, only for my eyes to land upon a mass of wriggling flesh floating a few meters off the ground; it was without a doubt one of the most disgusting creatures that exist, with only those pathetic winged Lizards narrowly beating them.

"Sister, this is a Diabolical? It's revolting; what could you possibly see in such a horrifying creature?" Asked Elif in confusion and disgust as he turned and gazed at Sister, who repeatedly hit his arm while smiling.

"Shh, Brother, you're about to see." Replied Elaine excitedly as she pointed towards the left, right at an approaching Cobra.

Although highly skeptical of Sister's claim, I glanced at the slithering Cobra Sister pointed at as it slowly approached the seemingly oblivious Diabolical. After a few moments, the Cobra finally arrived near the Diabolical and instantly opened its jaw as it lunged towards its prey; yet, at the last possible second, numerous slits appeared on the Diabolical's wriggling skin, only for hundreds of tiny beady eyes containing a small flickering yellow flame to stare at the Cobra, stopping it dead in its tracks.

At first, the Cobra seemed horrified, yet even so, for some reason, it didn't move, which only served to confuse me, though a few seconds later, I watched how the Cobra slowly turned into a dried husk of its former self as the light in its eyes vanished. Once the Cobra was dead, it fell to the ground, only for its body to collapse into ash while the Diabolical closed its eyes, returning to looking like a harmless yet ugly creature.

"Hehe, wasn't that amazing!?" Exclaimed Elaine excitedly as she turned and gazed at Elif, who gave her a confused expression before hesitantly nodding.

"Um, y-yes, it was impressive, but how did that Diabolical kill that Cobra?" Asked Elif softly with minimal enthusiasm as he glanced at the Diabolical in the distance before looking at Sister, whose smile only grew.

"Hehehe, you see, Brother, at the center of this forest, there is the Flame of Madness, one of the three most powerful flames in all existence. Its maddening influence slowly corrupts any being close to it, morphing them into those hideous creatures of wriggling flesh that we call Diabolical. Diabolicals contain a speck of the Flame's power within them and can influence madness within whoever looks into their eyes!" Replied Elaine with an enthusiastic expression as she looked at Elif, who slowly nodded at her words.

"So, that Diabolical could've been a previous Cobra, Bear, Wolf, Insect, or even Cultivator?" Asked Elif as he gestured to the Diabolical into the distance before looking at Sister, who nodded with a smile.

"Yes. However, what makes Diabolicals so dangerous is their potency; your cultivation base is entirely irrelevant when confronting them, as even Maxim found it troublesome to resist their madness. Nonetheless, those with a powerful dao heart are more resistant to its corrupting madness." Stated Elaine in excitement as she raised her hands in the air while smiling, causing Elif's expression to twitch.
