Entering our respective booth, there were two smaller thrones for us to sit down upon, but there was no need for two since Elaine's throne was on my lap; sitting down, I wrapped my arms around her supple waist and pulled her deeper into my embrace while we gazed at the elder who had just finished speaking.

"Thank you, your Highness; now I have no idea what this trial is about. I appreciate your efforts." Said Sarah sarcastically as she glazed at Elaine with a faint smile, causing her to stare blankly at her.

"Oh please, Sarah; you're making a big deal out of nothing. The trial is incredibly straightforward; simply survive for as long as possible while making your way to the pinnacle of the spire." Replied Elaine blandly as she gazed at Sarah, who rolled her eyes huff before folding her arms and shifting her focus to the spire.

Just as Elaine had said, the concept of today's trial was as straightforward as possible; of course, there are probably some details we're missing, but such things can be omitted. Although we were late and missed the Elder's description of the trial, we arrived at the perfect time for it to actually begin as flocks of disciples exited the stands and flew towards the base of the spire while anticipation and excitement plagued their eyes.

Once roughly a thousand or so disciples arrived underneath the spire, it shot out a beam of light that engulfed the disciples, and a moment later, they all suddenly disappeared, having been whisked into the spire. Since none of us actually knew what to do, we merely copied what everyone else was doing and sent our divine sense into the spire, allowing us to see nearly a thousand rooms where each disciple stood in the middle by themselves; however, it didn't stay that way for long, since a few moments later, the silhouette of a young man appeared standing opposite of the many disciples.

"Hmm, an avatar? Or is it a projection?" Muttered Elif lightly with a raised eyebrow as he gazed at the young man who suddenly attacked the many disciples in their separate rooms.

"It's a projection, your Highness; they do not contain an ego." Stated Maxim as he glanced at Elif, who grunted at his words before reluctantly nodding, causing Elaine to chuckle softly in amusement.

Having been corrected by that annoying Maxim, it wasn't hard to notice now that I knew, though I probably would've figured that out if I had just quietly watched the numerous battles for some time. Over time, victories were easily acquired by the many disciples, and although it was a little hard to perceive since hardly anyone sustained any injuries after the respective disciple defeated the projection of the young man, all of their injuries were promptly healed while their Qi reserved were swiftly refilled in record time.

Once the victorious disciples were back in peak condition, another projection appeared, though this time, it was of a young centaur woman; she was slightly stronger than the previous young man, with her cultivation base being only a minor realm higher.

"I'm taking a wild guess, but are those projections they're fighting... Are they past disciples of the Realm Sect?" Asked Marley with a raised eyebrow as she glanced at everyone for confirmation, prompting them to all nod.

"Yes, you're correct, Marley." Replied Illumia with a nod as she glanced at Marley, who smirked before giving Idonea a haughty look, causing her to click her tongue in annoyance.

"Huh, I was wondering the same. Wait, does that mean we may come across Mother or Father?" Muttered Elaine lightly, only for her to suddenly raise her eyebrows while Elif also widened his eyes.

"I do not know about His Majesty, but I'm rather certain you'll come across Her Majesty; she was arguably the strongest disciple in the Realm Sect during her generation, with only the current Patriarch of the Dragon Clan capable of matching her." Stated Illumia softly with a nod as she glanced at Elaine and Elif, who both faintly smirked.
