Chapter 392: Heart Demon's

Blocking an attack from my heart demon that was headed toward Sarah, I fired a Gyakusatsu at him, forcing him onto the defensive, while I fired another at Sarah's heart demon, effortlessly penetrating her chest, but since I wasn't Sarah, other than staggering her, I did next to no damage; however, my action was more than enough for her to violently attack her own heart demon, sending it flying while the whole world ever so faintly shook in response.

'Hmm, that's a good sign.' Mused Elif lightly as he intently observed the world, searching for signs of stability fluctuations, only to tilt his head, narrowly dodging a Gyakusatsu, though it still burned off a part of his ear.

"Tsk, stop interfering in their fight! This is between you and me!" Stated (HD)Elif angrily as he glared at Elif while flicking his hands, cursing two purple palms to manifest.

"Tch, annoying. Whatever, this isn't my actual body anyway." Muttered Elif in annoyance as he clicked his tongue while rubbing his injured ear, only to shift his focus to the approaching purple palm.

Looking at the palm, I glanced at the other one in the distance, heading for Sarah, causing me to click my tongue as I used my movement technique to evade the first one while speedily flying to the second one. Of course, my heart demon wasn't just going to ignore my actions, and he commanded the other palm to follow right behind me, which was less than ideal.

'Haa, if only I had Hokori with me, but alas.' Thought Elif with a sigh of defeat as he glanced at the palm following behind him before lightly shaking his head.

Without my sword, I lost several attacking options; of course, I could still use them, but they would be much weaker than if I had a sword, so it wasn't worth it. Seeing this as a clear sign that I should probably increase my repertoire, I slammed my hand against the air behind me, manifesting a purple palm directly in the path of the one following me, causing the two to collide while exploding in the process.

Arriving between Sarah and the approaching palm, I raised my arm and clenched my fist before punching the palm with all my accumulated strength; although this may not have been my actual body, I still held the strength of my physique, the same for my heart demon.

'Welp, that obviously didn't work.' Thought Elif with a wry expression while continuously getting pushed back, only managing to slow it down.

"Eh, E-Elif, do you need any help?" Asked Sarah in concern as she glanced at Elif, nearly receiving an attack from her heart demon, given her lack of focus.

"No, I am fine. Just focus on your fight; the quicker you defeat your heart demon, the quicker I can defeat mine. Constantly staring at an imperfect version of myself is an eye-sore." Replied Elif calmly, shaking his head as he slightly deviated the palm's path, forcing it away from Sarah.

With the palm going away from Sarah, I eased up on trying to stop it and instead crossed my arms as the palm slammed me into the Alfhild residence, destroying it and the entire estate along with it.

'Glad this is all fake; otherwise, it would be one expensive reimbursement, though, to be fair, if one attack from me was capable of destroying their manor, they should be the one at fault.' Thought Elif lightly as he patted his body while gazing at his surroundings, only for him to narrow his eyes at (HD)Elif, who was speedily approaching Sarah.

Pushing off the ground, I rapidly flew through the air, arriving just a few meters in front of Sarah, and punched my heart demon, who did the same, causing our fists to collide against our cheeks, though unlike him, I wasn't able to take a step back to lessen the impact since Sarah was behind me.

"Hmph, you punch like a child." Remarked Elif mockingly as he rubbed his jaw while glancing at (HD)Elif, who snorted in response before stepping forward, initiating a fistfight.
