How?

How is it possible for Mikey and me to have the same nightmare?

I've spent the entire night tossing and turning, replaying every detail, trying to make sense of it. And now that the sun is finally creeping through my curtains, I still have no answers.

I searched the internet: two people sharing the same dream. Nothing. Not a single real explanation. Just vague theories and clickbait.

The only logical explanation I can come up with is this: we must have both lived that moment. But that can't be right.
In the dream, I was lying in a hospital bed. My legs were elevated, and two people were holding my hands.
That never happened to me.
I would remember something like that... wouldn't I?

Unless.

Unless I've lived it before... in another life.
And Mikey was there with me.

I let out a dry laugh, shaking my head at the ridiculousness of the thought.
Yeah, right.

But then, uninvited, Takemichi's voice echoes in my mind:
"What do you think about time travel, Y/N?"

The memory jolts me. My eyes widen.
That question had seemed so random at the time... but what if it wasn't?

Could he know something? Why else would he bring that up out of nowhere?
And what if Mikey—
What if Mikey is... a time traveler?

Before I can second-guess myself, I grab my laptop and start frantically searching for the comic Takemichi once mentioned. I type in keywords, descriptions—anything that might lead me to it.

Some results are close, but none are exactly what he told me about. Maybe it's a rare comic, or a really old one.

I throw on some clothes, grab my coat, and head out.
I visit five different comic book stores, each more obscure than the last.
Not one vendor has heard of it.

Frustrated, I return home. But my mind won't let it go.
The pieces start clicking in the quiet.

Like how Mikey knew ginger tea would help my cramps—something I'd never told him.
Or how he got my hamburger order down perfectly the first time.

These things... they couldn't just be coincidences. Right?

But if they're not... then what does that mean?
That Mikey really is a time traveler?

It sounds insane.
And yet—I need to know.

Monday. At school.

------------------------------------------------------------------

The Monday after the school dance, the school campus buzzes with sleepy chatter and the rhythmic shuffle of feet. I weave through the crowd of students streaming through the school gates, my eyes scanning for a familiar face.

There, just a few meters ahead.
Takemichi, walking beside Hina, holding hands. I quicken my pace, jogging to catch up.

"Hey," I say once I'm within reach, falling into step with them.

"Hi!" they chime back in unison, slightly breathless from the chilly morning air.

"Did you have a good weekend?" I ask casually, though I'm already watching them closely.

They exchange a glance, and just like that, a blush blooms on both their cheeks.

I smirk to myself. I'll take that as a yes.

"We did," Hina answers, grinning. "How about you?"

I hum noncommittally, then glance at Takemichi, catching his gaze. "Hey, remember that comic you mentioned the other day? The one where the guy goes back in time to be with the woman he loves?"
