Not What It Seems- Michelangelo

I giggled excitedly as I cuddled closer to Mikey and stared at the television screen. The opening song for Frozen began to play, and I squealed quietly with delight. It had been so long since I had watched my favorite movie ever! Mikey grand back at me just as ecstatic that I was happy.

A rumbling sound interrupted my thoughts, and I stared down at my stomach in distaste, a blush creeping onto my cheeks.

"Are you hungry?" Mikey asked, beginning to stand. I waved him back down.

"I know this place well enough by now, " I assured him, "I can get some food on my own."

"Well, I'll be waiting till you're back," Mikey replied with a smile. I turned and began to stroll toward the kitchen... That is, until I realized everything was beginning to blur. I shook my head, maybe I was staring at the TV for a bit too long. I rushed into the kitchen, peering into the fridge and pulling out 2 cold pieces of pizza,  popping each one into the microwave. I shuffled my feet, trying to clear my vision to, no avail.

It almost looked like I was rushing past everything in a car, lines smudging and shapes distorting. The beep of the microwave made me jump, and I carried my snack back into the living room. My eyes widened as I saw Mikey, smiling at nothing, staring at the spot I had just left him from, frozen.

I sat down warily, waving a hand in front of my boyfriend's, and suddenly, my sight returned to normal. Mikey nearly jumped out of his shell as he saw me.

"B-b-but," he stumbled, pointing at me, "You were just there, a-and now you're...here? And you already grabbed pizza?!"

I frowned in confusion. "I was gone for like, five minutes Mikey."

" No," he insisted, "you were right there a second ago."

It didn't make any sense, the blurry vision like I was racing past everything, Mikey thinking I had disappeared and reappeared within a millisecond...

I thought dawned on me. Could it be... Had I really 'raced' to the kitchen with in a millisecond?

I ran my fingers through my hair nervously. Finally, I looked up to see Mikey's eyes widen at me.

"Y/N, you're glowing!"

"Huh?" I looked down to see a soft aura around me, lighting up my whole body, making my skin turn to an orange-ish hue. I yelped, began to get dizzy, and passed out. Oh no...
