Night On The Town - Leonardo

I clambered up the ladder and out into the night, breathing in the refreshing air as Leo swiftly followed me. He grabbed my hand, looking over at me and takin a deep breath and walking out into the street.

A crowd of people stopped in their tracks as Leo and I sauntered out into the open. A few jaws dropped, and eyes widened.

"Ohmygosh," A voice cried, "Isn't that Leonardo Hamato? He saved the city, didn't he?"

"Yeah, him and his brothers," Another voice exclaimed.

"Hey! I know that girl! Y/N L/N! She used to be in theater at my school! She was an amazing actress!"

I blushed, not expecting to be recognized. Leo smiled politely at the gathering crowd, gently pushing past, his hand still holding onto mine.

"Wow! How lucky is she, getting to date a hero!"

"And isn't she a mutant too? Talk about a powerful couple!"

More comments flew past us as we made our way through the city, before we stopped at a red-roped restaurant. The guard, a big buff security man dressed in black, glanced down at Leo. My boyfriend didn't even waver under his gaze.

"We have reservations under Hamato."

The guy grunted, before unlinking the rope barring the entrance and waving us in. I gasped at the hanging chandeliers, the perfectly set candle-lit tables, the small band tucked in the corner of the room playing beautiful music softly.

"Leo..." I breathed, "...how? How did we even..?"

"Thanks to the police-captain, I managed to snag a table," He explained, kissing my cheek, "I've never been able to take you to a fancy restaurant before - do you like it?"

"I love it," I replied happily, kissing him in thanks, "I can't believe all this... That you would do all this for me..."

He smiled, giving me a small squeeze and mumbling, "What better way to spend my first time out in the open than with you beside me?"

I blushed, kissing him again, and Leo murmured against my lips, "There's one more thing..."

"What?"

"You know how you always wanted to see Romeo and Juliet? A professional performance?"

I gasped, looking at him with hopeful eyes, "You did not get me tickets to a performance, did you?"

"Better. I got you an audition to perform. "

My jaw dropped, and then I rushed into my boyfriend's arms, kissing him once more, passionately, as I whispered, "I love you."
