Sorry this is short, but... for some odd reason the original chapter is gone. Most likely I will add more but I wanted to get other chapters up to read so I did this to fill in for now.

Chapter 32.

The next couple of days were filled with classes. Lily was sitting with James in Potions helping him understand Golpalott's Third Law.

“So, you see the amount of ingredients is more than the amount for an antidote, you could have fifty types of ingredients in the potions but only twenty are poisonous and you may only need five antidotes ingredients to take care of all the poisons in it.”

“I think it get it but I rather just stuff a bezoar down their throat.” James chuckled.

Lily laughed shaking her head at him.

“Yes that would work with most but there are a few that are unable to be cured by a stone.”

“Too bad if that stone could cure anything, all we’d have to do is stuff them down Slytherin throats and take the fight and stupidity right out of them.”

“That would be quite the miracle stone,” Lily agreed.

He laughs for a few moments before sobering up with the idea that Lily could go back to Severus if he lost his desire to become a Death Eater and join Voldermort in his quest for world domination. Or at least their part of the world. He figured that was a subject best left unsaid.

“So how do you figure out which parts to take out of the cauldron and what it is and how it works?” James asked looking into his own cauldron that was all a brilliant blue.

Lily grinned at him before telling him what to look for with the spell that would move separate components apart from each other than just placing it into a jar.

James caught on to the quickly and was moving happily through his potion taking out different parts of it to figure out which part was poison and what was harmless.

Snape would glare daggers every few minutes while he removed different parts of his own potion. He wondered every time he saw the locket move around her neck if his picture had yet been removed. He really hoped she would leave it at least as a reminder of what they had.

Slughorn called an end to the class telling them to place their items in the cupboard to continue in their next class. “Make sure to seal your things so that no one can get into it when you’re gone. I don’t need another accident in this class. Pomfrey will have my hide otherwise.”

Severus chuckled over this, he knew how the nurse could be about students in what she considered very dangerous but useful all the same. He made sure to seal his very well in the cupboard. He watched sadly as Lily was sealing her own inside the cupboard. He wanted to have her look at him to speak with him, but he knew with so many watching and some fellow Slytherins he could only hope for it. He narrow his eyes and turned away when James walked up with his own cauldron and many bottles.

“Hey beautiful, help me here.”

“Of course, James.” Lily started taking the bottles out of his hands placing them on the shelves. “You know you could have made two trips.”

“Not as fun.” James replied. Severus didn’t hear anymore as he hurried to his desk and cleaned up before he hurried from the room.

Lily felt bad for her former friend she knew there was no way he could really be open and honest with the friends from his house. They would only look down on him and think him weak.

At dinner the five were talking happily when her friends joined them.

“I am so hungry.” Alice started to scoop up the food onto her plate. Lily raised an eyebrow at this.

“Same here, all that stupid homework has me beat.”

Lily chuckled at the girls all shoveling food into their mouths.

Sirius was watching fascinated by them. “I never knew girls ate like that, it’s truly amazing, and you look like pigs at a.... troop…?” He looked to Lily since she was the Muggle born in the group.

“Trough and I think pigs eat less noisy.” Lily told him with a laugh.

“Oh funny, haha really witty you two.” Alice stuck her tongue out before going back to her large meal.

The others laugh happily. They talked about mundane things around the school and classes. They also talked about some of the girls willing to take Sirius off the market. He found it very funny when they would do their best to get a confession of love out of him.

“Like that’ll ever happen. The girls here are good for one thing and that’s shagging.” Sirius, gave a high five Remus.

They had a good time talking and finally left the Great Hall when the girls were done eating. They had the rest of the day off before dinner and wanted to go play some games. Lily taught them poker which they all enjoyed.
