Chapter 119. Troubles with toads.

Snape had heard about Umbridge inspecting Flitwick, he was not worried since he remembered what kind of teacher he was when he was a student and knew without a doubt he would pass the toads inspection.

Snape was sitting in the staff room when Umbridge came inside she looked as always upset, her flabby face was positively quivering with her anger.

“Ooh Severus you wouldn’t believe what that evil lying attention seeking Potter has done now.” Umbridge sat down in a chair next to him, looking at him as though he was waiting on baited breath for her every word.

Snape returned to his reading of Witch Weekly, ignoring her,

“He had the colossal nerve to question me again about Slinkhards book; he was trying to work up the other students into a protest and over take the Ministry with …. Well you know I put a stop to it right away I did. I gave him; another weeks worth of detention, after using my quill a few more times he ought to get the message.” Umbridge was huffing so much in anger she completely forgot to use her irritating girlish voice and fake cough. Snape ignored her as always though. “Maybe you can speak with someone else about this, he should know after all.”

Snape finally put the paper down and looked at her, “I was going to make a report this weekend I can tell him all about it then.” Snape stood up smoothly and walked out of the staff room leaving Umbridge looking disappointed.

Snape didn’t know what she meant by special quill but he felt sure it was anything but good. Snape walked through the halls; the best source of information was the students spreading it around as long as you got to it before it was too badly embellished.

The news about McGonagall and Grubbly-Planks inspection had of course made its way around the school. Snape smiled and nodded his head at Minerva as they walked toward the Great Hall for dinner.

Snape that evening had received a revolting piece of pink parchment with the words Snapey-poo on it. Snape had to cover his mouth to keep from being sick at the look of it and the words in overly loopy printing with a little heart at the end.

“Great now I’ll be stuck with her in here, no way out of it ugh.” Snape groaned. He took out his wand and sent a small flame at the paper setting it on fire so that it burned to dusty ash in seconds.

“Too bad this can’t be done to her; it’s save people a great deal of trouble.” Snape went to bed after this feeling very sick.

Snape was glad it was after the first Hogsmeade weekend; at least he would have time to get something for his stomach to keep from being ill in her presence, which could prove unfavorably in his inspection. His first stop was down to renew a few supplies for his store cupboard and to then visit with the Order and then Voldermort. Snape took no time in buying the different potion ingredients, like gossamer wings, bat droppings and wings cobra venom and some moonstones, of different colors and qualities. Snape quickly dissaperated to Number Twelve Grammauld place, where he walked inside after tapping his wand lightly on the door so that it unlocked and he was able to walk inside without waking up Sirius mother who screeched half blood filth at him every time she saw him.

Snape went straight to the kitchen where he saw Lupin sitting and chatting with Tonks and Sirius. They all as far as Snape could tell looked the same and all stopped talking as he walked inside.

“Hello Severus, come sit with us, how is everything going at school?” Lupin greeted him as an old friend. Snape smiled slightly at this.

“School is just the same as always, toad face is making things as difficult as possible now.”
