Severus had used his wand to write down all the ingredients that was to be used for the day’s lessons for his second year students. He was having them brew up a Swelling Solution, it was not very useful since most did not want to swell up like a balloon but if for some reasons you wanted to disguise small parts of your body with a dab of it on so as to slip through unnoticed it was perfect. Snape finished his wand work and sat behind his desk, feeling a foreboding as the class started to head inside. Draco of course could be counted on for saying Hello and talking as though they were old friends.

Snape smiled as Draco talked on about what they were going to be learning in today’s lesson.

“I can’t wait to try this out it’ll be so much fun sir. I was telling my mother the other day how great your class is, she told me once again just how proficient you were at potions and how your teacher couldn’t praise you enough.”

Severus smiled sadly at him. Same old Narcissa, she only saw what she wanted to see.

“Your mom was very proficient at Potions herself; it was always a pleasure to have her working with me during our lessons.”

Yeah right like we ever really did work together, I worked with Lily every chance I got. Snape thought.

“She was about as proficient at potions as she is about any of her other classes, she was worthless,” Snapped Lily. James just chuckled; he knew better then to add anything to this conversation. Lily smiled when Harry walked into the class with his friends. Seeing her son always put her into a happy mood.

The class was working on their potions as Severus walked around looking down at their cauldrons, He had noticed that Draco was of course doing his best to antagonize Harry, Ron and Hermione by tossing puffer-fish eyes at them. Severus ignored it as he thought Pay backs tough, but maybe now Potter will see that doing something like that to someone isn’t as funny as he thought them. Snape looked down at Harry’s cauldron. Is he not paying attention at all, this is way to weak to raise a pimple let alone make anything swell. Snape closed his eyes as he grimaced in thought of Lily and her perfect swelling solution.

“You call that a Swelling Solution Potter, is it that hard to even figure out how to add the ingredients properly.” He sneered at Harry as he moved on to Ron’s.

“What is that?” Snape said with disgust as he passed by Hermione’s, he knew hers would be perfect as always. Snape looked down at Neville’s cauldron.

“How can you possible get any worse at this class Longbottom, are you hoping to receive a T for this class?”

Snape jerked as an explosion sounded on the other side of the dungeon, He looked to see that Goyle’s potion was showering the students nearest him. Everyone was now shrieking and screaming as different body parts started to swell up.

“Calm down everyone calm down, please come to my desk for….” Snape growled, as he realized no one was listening they were all still freaking out over their swelling body parts.

“Silence, SLIENCE!” Snape roared at last. “Anyone who has been splashed, come here for a deflating draft—when I find out who did this—”

Severus started to give drinks of the deflating draft out to the students, he manage to not laugh as Draco walked up with a very large nose.  

Unknown by the class two spirits were laughing hysterically.

“That was so great, did you see that kids nose.”

“It was brilliant; Harry’s toss was perfect. I wish I had done that in class, it’d been great to see that happen to ol’ Snape.” James roared with laughter.
