First Kiss Chapter one. Trying to work up the nerve!

Chapter 173

One thing that had amazed Lily, Severus and James was the cd’s and portable cd players Muggle parents had brought along with them. The teachers had to work their magic so that the items would play there correctly with all the magical interference, but once that was done they played as though powered by magic, which they were.

 They found it astonishing that something so small could hold so many songs on it, many more then the old record albums of Lily’s.

They enjoyed these songs just as much as the ones they knew from Lily’s collection. The spirits were all dancing, laughing and eating their own food, it was great fun to have Sir Nicholas there with them, he talked, to them, enjoyed holding Donna, who had been introduced as the woman he had intended to marry until another man had brought him up on bogus charges which lead to his beheading. Donna had reassured him she never married that man and had died hoping to see him in her death. She had slapped his face for making her wait for so long before he came to see her in the spirit realm. Nicholas had apologized profusely and reassured her that had he known she was here, he would have shown up four hundred years earlier. This pleased her as they enjoyed the party, that was going to last until the wee hours of the morning since no one not even the spirits wanted it to end.

Much to Gabriella’s dismay her parents had decided it was time to leave, it was well past four in the morning now and more and more people were drifting away to home and students were slowly and reluctantly making there way to their rooms.

Harry though figured this was by far the best dance he had gone to, yes the second one but still much better then the first one.

He had this time been quite happy to dance and enjoy him self with Cho. He knew the first dance would have been a lot better had that had happen back then instead of now, but at least he was able to have fun with her this time. He was sad to see her leave for home.

Harry walked over to his brother who was talking with some teachers; they seemed to be having a good time.

“Good night Severus, I’ll see you later,” Harry said as he walked up next to him.

“Good night Harry, it was a great party,”

“yeah I had great fun,” Harry told him as the teachers looked pleased.

“James said good night too, but mum and dad are off some where,”

Harry laughed this did not surprise him in the least.

“Good night dad, take care.” Harry enjoyed knowing that his parents were around to hear him when he spoke; they loved him no matter what and were proud of him. It gave him a lot of comfort to know this. Harry was quite glad he had gotten to know his older brother as he waved good-bye to him.

Se watched as he left, before saying his own good byes, packing up the music and sending it on to his home.

“Thank you for bringing the Muggle music, people really seemed to enjoy it.” McGonagall told him as he gave her a hug good-bye.

“It is definitely time; to shoo people home and the students to their beds,” McGonagall said as she started in telling students to head to their own dormitories. They were not willing but did reluctantly leave for their common rooms.

People were leaving they were looking very tired some looked as though they had a little too much mead, as they sang and staggered from the school.

James, Sirius, Connie, Lupin and Tonks all left for their own places. James was glad he had his time with Lily but was wishing to have more time with her, sharing did of course have its downfalls. The three of them would have to talk this over, in the morning… later morning that is.
