Snape was walking out the front door when he heard his name from behind. Snape stopped to see the two Carrows hurrying toward him.

“Hello Headmaster Snape,” Alecto said as she and Amycus stepped up to him, “We’re going into Hogsmeade, for some drinks, wanna join us?” She gave him a sappy smile as Amycus wheezed and chuckled beside her.

“No thank you, I have urgent business to attend to,” Snape turned walking toward the front door and out, down the stairs as the two Carrows hurried to keep up with him, they were both panting heavily, as they tried to match his faster longer strides.

“Whatcha doing?” Amycus asked between wheezes.

Snape looked coldly at him, “I had thought you knew not to ask those types of questions?”

The two blanched at this, their doughy faces looking horrified.

“Uh Is’ been meanin ta ask ya, wha was it like killin Dumbly?” Alecto asked panting hard.

As they passed through the gates, Snape looked down at the two with cold dead eyes, “The same as any other I had killed,” hiss Snape, he turned on the spot leaving them behind, but not before seeing their looks of admiration. Horrible, I can never make up for it now, but some how I will try too. Snape knew in his heart that he wanted to beg the two people had killed to forgive him for his horrible act. Unfortunately for the Death Eaters he had to be cold and aloof.

 Snape landed in the forest of Dean, he was looking around the forest for a moment before placing his wand on the flat of his palm.

“Point me toward Harry Potter,” Snape watched as his wand spun around, before coming to a stop. Snape walked in the direction, he saw nothing at all for a while, but knew he was coming closer as the wand moved slightly in another direction. Snape followed the new direction, until it moved a little more, it had done this four times before he realized he was moving around their tent which was he realized expertly concealed with several concealing charms.

“Must be Hermione’s work,” Snape now walked around looking for the perfect area he could watch for Potter to appear. Snape found a two large tree, which was perfect for peeking through between them, so he could watch for Harry, but have no chance of being found there. Snape then looked around for a place the sword could be placed where Harry would have to be courage’s enough to try for it.  Snape looked down at the small pond, it was not too deep but with the ice it would be very cold. Snape worked the spell, as he let the sword drop down into the frigid water, under the ice. Snape went back to his tree; he cleared away the snow, as he sat to wait for Harry to emerge. Snape was stretching out his muscles the small blue flame he had going to keep him self-warm was also making him drowsy. Snape’s head jerked back as he heard a noise from behind him. Snape stood up carefully so as not to be seen, as he looked to see Harry had emerged from the tent.

“Finally, now to get you over here, I know your Patronus is the stag, once you see mine, you won’t be able to resist her,” Snape spoke softly, “Expecto Patronus,” Snape smiled as his beautiful doe appeared from his wand, she went flying out to land gently down close to Harry. Snape watched happily as Harry chased after her. She lead him back to the pond, with Harry following as though chasing a carrot. This is too easy. Snape thought as Harry called to his Patronus. If he knew, the kid would faint, but some how he seems to know she’s something he can trust, good instincts. Snape watched as Harry reached the pond as he let his Lily Patronus disappear, leaving Harry looking baffled as he looked around for the source of her producer. It was then Harry had noticed the sword.

“That’s it kid, go for it, and take the plunge,”

Snape watched with a half grin on his face, “I can’t believe it, he’s not only going for it, but he’s doing so in his boxers only, ooh that will be so cold.” Snape chuckled while he watched as Harry slipped into the water, his eyes widen though when they saw the locket around his neck.
