First Kiss Chapter one. Trying to work up the nerve!

Chapter 102

It was later that night that Snape had been awake by Dumbledore to come help look for Sirius who had once again broken into the school and was inside the Gryffindor common room and in the dormitories and had awaken Ron Weasley. Snape was stunned but immediately got ready to go searching for him. He could have killed Harry tonight, with no one the wiser, what would Lily had said to that, I promised her I promised her I’d keep him safe and I can’t let her down, I have to find Sirius and bring her some justice. Snape thought over and over as he marched through the schools corridors looking in every conceivable hiding place to find Sirius.

Long into the morning the teachers had finally agree that Sirius Black was not in the school after a very thorough search of the school. Severus felt very tired and grumpy when he went back to his private room to try to get a couple more hours of sleep.

The school was of course buzzing constantly about how Sirius Black had once again entered the school and had escaped the school again. Snape was sure he was some how using the hidden entrances but he had never figured out all of them and had never had the chance to ask Lily about it, now it was too late to ask her. He taught his classes in less then cheery mood then normal and was even cranky with a few of the students from his own house. He was very glad to not have Harry and his friends today since he figured he’d jinx the lot of them for breathing.

It was now the day of the Hogsmeade visit, Snape was watching from the shadows as the students lined up to leave the school, Severus smiled as he remembered all the times he and Lily had left to visit Hogsmeade. Snape smiled sadly wishing he could still visit the town with her, he only went to town when he had too go and buy supplies, or at the end of the year with the other teachers to celebrate school being over once more. He other wise had no desire to see the town and remember the times there with Lily. Severus watched sadly as Harry walked back up the stairs to the Gryffindor common room.

“Poor kid unable to go just because he lives with his pathetic aunt and uncle.” Snape turned to leave the entrance hall and wandered through the halls for one more sweeps of the floors to make sure all was safe. Snape had of course talked to Dumbledore who once again insisted that Remus would not help Black come into the school and that Harry was safe with him. Snape felt anger at his words he didn’t want to trust Lupin he just wanted to see Black given over to the dementors and see to it that Lily had some peace of mind in the after life.  

Severus was walking through the hall when he heard voices, in a very familiar place. Snape walked around the corner to see Harry and Neville standing by the hump back witch, and the two classroom doors. Severus walked up behind Harry.  Neville gave a small squeak of fear and step behind Harry. Snape would have laughed it been so comical but instead spoke softly to them.

“And what are you two doing here?” Snape stopped looking between the two of them. “An odd place to meet—”

Snape looked quickly between the doors and the one eyed witch. I remember meeting Lily here a couple of times and seeing James and his mates here, there is something here.

“We’re not—meeting here,” Harry said looking worried. “We just—met here!”

“Indeed?” Snape looked at him suspiciously, “You have a habit of turning up in unexpected places, Potter and you are very rarely there for no good reason… I suggest the pair of you return to GryffindorTower, where you belong.”

Snape watched as the two hurried away from Severus, without a word. Snape looked at the one eye witch running his hand over it softly. “Lily I wish you could tell me if this is really an exit site for people to sneak out of school. I know you had been around it a few times your self and when I came back you were always gone without a trace of you anywhere nearby.”
