Chapter 177

Hermione walked in with Draco both were very red face they were snickering about something, Harry had a good idea what it could be, the others just looked puzzled at them.

“Well if your mom is right Harry we’ll have that in a couple of hours,” Hermione was going for normality as she sat trying desperately to hide her very pleased grin. Draco wasn’t succeeding in hiding his own happy face as he sat down next to Hermione, his hand slipping under the tables, which cause Hermione to look at him with a large impish grin.

“So ummm, do you want to know about the Polyjuice potion?” Harry asked Hermione as innocently as he could as she looked at him wide eyed.

“You know, she told you?” Hermione asked excited.

Harry pushed the book toward Hermione who took it eagerly looking through the rewritten lines.

“Wow but… it seems… so simple?” Hermione gazed at it, with wonder, “this will work?”

“Mom says that is what she did with great results. She also told me the spell for the hair-beating hex that she used on Bellatrix; she is still struggling with it in the corner of the kitchen. It seems that she and dad are the only ones who know the counter curse for it.” Severus grinned at his parents who were looking quite pleased.

“Dad also told me the counter curse for sectumsempra, which he said was a good thing at that time you didn’t do non-verbal’s very well Harry, if it’s done non-verbal it causes even more damage.” Severus raised his eyebrows at them, “Mom forced him to come up with a way to heal the damage from it, when he made that one up. She said something that evil had to have something twice as loving to counter it.”

“Only for Lily would I have bothered to come up with something to heal it.” Snape sat down on a chair pulling Lily onto his lap, kissing her cheek. Lily wrapped her arms around his neck returning his kisses eagerly.

“Get a room you two,”

Severus said with a shake of his head as James shouted wide-eyed horror at him.

“Don’t say that….. Too late…” James glared at him. Snape stood up with Lily and hurried from the kitchen.

“Sorry James, I umm I won’t say that to them again,” Severus smirked he turned from James frowning face.

Narcissa giggled along with the other girls.

“I dare say Severus is making up for lost time,” Narcissa told them as she took a cup of tea from Kreature.

It was then that she remembered Dobby.

“Harry where is Dobby, after you left the house with him, where had he been living?” Narcissa asked curious since she had missed having a house elf around the home to clean and cook.

Harry looked at her sadly, “he had been working at Hogwarts, but… he died from the knife your sister threw at him,” Harry spoke softly.

“Oh, I had not known….” Narcissa bowed her head looking at the table a pang of guilt coursing through her.

“I liked him, he was… interesting…” Draco said with regret in his eyes.

“Yeah I liked him too; I gave him a nice burial though.”

“He’s also a father,” Hermione spoke up remembering Winky’s little baby she had named after Dobby.

This caught both their attention as they looked at her.

“A father, but…. With who?”

“Winky at the school, before he came to save us, she had the baby soon after wards. I guess they’re not pregnant for very long period of time.”
