Chapter 5. Christmas magic

The holidays went by quickly with Lily and Severus going out to see the lights displays and to sing Christmas carols with others in the neighborhood. Snape had confessed that the feast was better then the Hogwart’s feasts during Christmas break. Lily was very proud of this since she had helped her mother prepare the meal.

The two would sit at the kitchen table going over the potions book and how to make it even better. When her mother would leave them alone they would start snogging each other. Lily felt she couldn’t get enough of this. Unfortunately when they started to snog is when Petunia would barge in snarling that her Christmas break from school had been completely ruined. It was of course their entire fault for it.

“Let’s go out walking to see the lights.” Lily would stand up leaving the kitchen with Severus happily following after her.

After putting on coats and hats the two would leave with a good bye to her mom.

“Petunia stay here.” Mrs. Evans commented when she started to put her own coat on.

“But mom I want to go out.” She said in a very whiny voice.

“Of course you do but I know what you really want is to spy on Lily and Severus so stay here for another hour then go out.”

She stamped her foot then walked up stairs muttering angrily under her breath.

Lily and Severus didn’t know what happen but had they; they would have thanked her mother a million times for keeping Petunia at home. They walked to the 7-11 stores nearby and bought some penny candy and slurpies. Severus had not had one yet so was amazed by the cold and cheery favorable taste. He pulled out his straw and looked at it in horror. “Someone cut this straw.” He explained showing the end to Lily.

She giggled at this. “Its ok Sev it’s done that way on purpose so you can spoon it out if you want to do that.”

“Oh wow that’s cool.” He went to work spooning out his slurpie

They walked around until they saw a house that had no one living inside it.

“Let’s go look inside.” Lily told him. She eagerly went to the house trying the front door. It was locked so she went to look at the windows testing them for a way to get inside. She finally found a back bedroom one that was left unlocked. She placed her hands on the window seal and heaved herself up and swung a leg over to climb inside/ Snape admired her since she was so agile it made him desire her even more.

Once inside they walked into all the rooms looking around at the different ones and which room they liked best.

“I love the kitchen and the master bedroom. They are both so big.”

“Yeah they are nice but that one room with all the built in shelves was my favorite.”

Lily went back into the master room. She sat down on the plush carpet.

“Ok sit here with me.” She commanded.

Severus did as he was told sitting right next to her.

Lily wasted no time on words she let her actions speak for her. Severus smiled feeling Lily’s lips once more on his own. He was so pleased they had went for a ‘walk’

It was several hours later of kissing and exploring that the two realized it had gotten dark out and they needed to head back to her home.

They held hand on the walk back smiling very happily.

They did their walk every day with Petunia being kept home so as not to be able to snoop on her sister. This only increased her anger and desire to bring Lily under her control. Lily enjoyed going to their empty house and snogging on the soft carpet. It did though make the break from school end all too soon.
