Chapter 151. A new school year.

It was the first of September and an owl arrived at the headmaster’s office very early in the morning. Snape took the scroll from the owl as the tawny owl took off at once. Snape unfurled it, looking down the small note.

                 Snap,

We foond oot were Sereis hoose is.

We weer abl to dicuvur it trooh the

anhairitace filles in the Mintry. Weer goig

theer to greit him wen he leves for skool,

he and the Mudblood and Blood traator.

                 Wel hav theem noow.

               Mulciber.

Snape laughed out loud, he couldn’t help it. He had not known that Mulciber was so horrible at spelling this was too funny. But what was even more hysterical was that they had thought Harry and his pals were just going to walk on out of the house and go to school like all the other students.

“I’d tell them that they are off their rockers but they wouldn’t listen to that,” Snape tossed the letter into the can. Snape stood up as he looked at Dumbledore who gave him a large smile.

“Have a good morning Severus, you’ll do great out there.”

“Thank you, I’ll let you know how it all goes for me,” Snape left the office watching behind him with a wave to Dumbledore as he shut the door walking down the stairs instead of waiting for them to revolve downward on their own.

Snape walked toward the Great Hall it was time for breakfast and to speak with the teachers.

“Hello,” Snape said softly as everyone but the Carrows gave him a filthy look.

“I am sure you’re all, ready for the coming year. Hagrid, you’ll be bringing the first years across as usual, while you greet them Professor McGonagall, and start sorting them.” Snape ignored their looks of hatred as Amycus giggled and whispered into his sister’s ear.

“Professor Amycus, when I am speaking you will not speak,” Snape snapped at him, the man looked as though he had whipped him.

“Sorry headmaster,” Amycus said in his wheezy voice.

Snape glared for a moment before turning his attention back to the group at large.

“I expect we shall have a… interesting school year,” Snape told them, as they looked stony face back at him.

“Let us enjoy our breakfast before we prepare for the arrival of our students,” Snape sat down in the headmaster’s seat, feeling very uncomfortable as eyes kept shooting dirty dagger looks at him.

Snape stood up to leave after breakfast was finished he had only gone half way through the Great Hall when a deep voice spoke up behind him.

“Headmaster,”

Snape turned to see Hagrid looking very angry with him.

“He trusted you, always; he would never hear a word against you. He always trusted you, you betrayed him,” Hagrid looked down at Snape the pain of loss and betrayal in his eyes.

“I know Hagrid,” Snape turned to leave when Hagrid spoke up again.

“Why ja do it then?” The anguish in his voice was strong and painful to hear.
