Chapter 124

The next few days had not improved his mood, he was tired and weary of listening to Delores whining about why it seemed that the students all seemed to know about the magazine and the interview and had some how been reading it, even though she had continued to do spot checks for it with students dumping out their bags. No one in the staff room who were all giving each other knowing looks said anything they had seen the students going over the magazine and talking about the article but none of the teachers were incline to help Umbridge the only one who was willing to help her was Filch who loved the idea of physical punishment which the two had been discussing for a while now.

Snape was in the office with Harry who had just landed onto the floor once again after seeing the images of his cousin tormenting him at school where a large group of students were all laughing at him while his cousin was taking turns poking him with sticks and calling him names. Now though the man in the darken room was someone that Snape knew, it was Rookwood, he needed to get to the bottom of this.

“Get up Potter,”

Snape watched as he struggled to his feet, he looked sick.

“That last memory, what was it?” Snape asked softly.

“I don’t know, you mean the one where my cousin tried to make me stand in the toilet?”
Snape looked at him; he couldn’t believe that was what he thought he was wondering about.

“No, I mean the one concerning a man kneeling in the middle of a darken room….” This is so not good that he is seeing so far into the Dark Lords mind. Snape thought worriedly. Harry tried to tell him it was nothing.

Snape looked directly into Harry’s eyes who; it seemed remembered what was said before about eye contact as he looked away from him.

“How do that man and that room come to be inside your head, Potter?” Snape asked no hint of emotions in his voice.

“I….. It was—just a dream I had.” Harry was looking at everything but Snape.

“A dream?” Snape said quietly, that figures he is not at all trying to clear his mind at night.

“You do know why we are here don’t you, Potter? Said Snape in a low dangerous voice; I dont know what to do aside from hexing him to get to take this serious. Snape thought as he watched him. “You do know why I am giving up my evenings to this tedious job?”
“Yes,” Harry replied stiffly.

“Remind me why we are here Potter?” Snape asked him as he looked defiantly at him telling him so he could learn Occlumency.

“Correct, Potter. And dim though you may be”— I would have thought that after two months worth of lessons you might have made some progress. How many other dreams about the Dark Lord have you had?” Snape watched him as he was glaring hatred at him.
