The next couple weeks had brought Halloween, Snape was very pleased that it landed on a Saturday so that he was able to leave after breakfast; Snape knew where he was going and what he would do there.

Snape had of course landed in the outskirts of Godric Hallow, where he walked to the small church; since it was Saturday there were no churchgoers around to ask him questions or invite him inside. He walked softly to the cemetery behind the church. Snape made his way to Lily’s grave, he smiled down at her headstone as a large bouquet of roses and lilies appeared in his hands, he placed them onto the grave next to the headstone. Snape then pulled out the pearl and opal necklace, it sparkled in the late morning sun as he placed it on the ground. Snape spoke softly, “This is for you Lily, its very old and worth a lot of gold, but not nearly as much as your worth.” Snape waved his wand the necklace slowly slipped into the ground where he conjured it to slip around her neck where it would stay for evermore.

“I told you, he could do things like us.” A small boy’s voice came from a few graves away. Snape turned surprised to see the small boy Toby with a girl who looked his age and another who looked a few years older.

“Toby, how are you, these must be your sister… Candance and Riley?”

“Yeah the old one is Candance,” Toby ducked as she swatted at her little brother, “this ones Riley she’s my twin, but I’m three minutes older.” Toby had jabbed a finger at his twin sister.

Snape smiled he knew those few minutes wouldn’t mean as much when they were both quite a bit older themselves.

“See I told you he also favors the woman, last time he gave the man carnations with stink weed,” The boy said knowingly as he grinned at Snape who chuckled at the boy’s candor.

“So are you three ready for Halloween?” Snape asked as he looked at the three who were watching him intently.

“Yeah I’m gonna be a witch,” Candance told him.

“I’m going to be a black cat,” Riley told him.

“I’m gonna dress like you, except I can’t find a cloak like yours,”

Snape raised an eyebrow at him, “really, like me, why?”

“’Cause you do things like we do only better, so I want to be like you, you’re cool.” Toby told him happily.

Snape chuckled at this; it was he figured a first for someone to call him ‘cool’

“Can we see more, we saw you get the flowers for Lily and put something on her grave but there isn’t anything there now?”

“You’re quite observant,” Snape looked around for a moment then looked at a medium size rock on the ground. Snape picked it up and brought out his wand, with a small wave of his wand he was now holding a long black cloak just like his own, but a smaller version.

“Here Toby put this on, you can wear it.” Snape handed the cloak to the boy who took it with wide excited eyes.

“Wow that is so cool,” Toby placed the cloak around his shoulders as the two girls looked at him eager and envious.

Snape bent down and picked up to more stones and transformed them into two more black cloaks. “Here girls, you too can wear them.”

The girls were just as excited as Toby as they took the cloaks from Snape’s outstretched hands.

“Just don’t tell others about this, it would not go over well with some Muggles,”

The three looked at him puzzled, “What’s a Muggle?”
