Chapter 163

It was the next day when they were in the graveyard to say farewell to Snape at his funeral.

“He’s burying me next to you?” Snape was astounded his eyes wide with surprise.

“He realized that you were a better man then he had thought, or you let on.” Lily narrowed her eyes for a moment. Snape looked abashed.

A lot of people were showing up for the funeral, it was very crowded, in no time.

Snape looked down right stunned by the turn out. “There’s so many here?”

Lily beamed at him. “Of course love.” As though it was a silly thought on his part.

They watched as people showed up, including several former students who were crying, loudly.

“He was always my favorite teacher; he was so cool and sexy.” A blonde cried out.

Snape looked stunned his eyes wide again as though it was going to be a permanent look now.

“A lot of girls in school loved you, they loved that bad boy way of yours dark brooding unapproachable. You made girls want you, and you had no clue did you.” Lily laughed as she hugged him tightly.

“I only knew of one besides your self but I believe honestly that she did it only to make her husband jealous.” Snape told her defensively.

Lily grinned at him. “So sorry to tell you, but she really did love you, she only married Lucius because it was arranged, she dated him in school to make you jealous it didn’t work you never noticed them dating.

“I had you, why would I ever notice her?” Snape said honestly.

Lily snuggled up close to him a large grin on her face.

“My lovable Sev,” It was one thing that really pleased her and she snuggled close to him, His complete and utter devotion to her.

Snape grinned he loved hearing that. James smiled at them, as he rubs Lily’s back, while watching the grieving crowd.

Harry stood next to the open grave, where a nice oak coffin stood above the large deep hole in the hard ground. Hermione had her arm around Harry’s waist; she was sniffing softly as she rested her head against his shoulder.

“I hate all these funerals.” Hermione whispered.

“I agree.” Harry told her softly. It had been the sixth one for them to attend so far. It wouldn’t unfortunately be the last. He had already attended Dumbledore’s funeral last year and had been to Fred Weasley a couple of days ago, then they had gone to the one for Lupin and Tonks the ones for Peter and Voldermort and they even went to the one for Bellatrix and was now standing at the one for Severus Snape.

Harry sighed as he thought of the one for he would be going to tomorrow the one for Colin Creevy.

Harry was glad so many had shown up for this one, as well as for all the others.

There were the teachers and some people that Harry did not know. He was surprised to see that Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy were there as well but for some reason their son Draco was absent. Harry saw that some students from Slytherin house were still showing up for Snape’s funeral. He would be pleased he thought that there was more and more showing up as people stood and talked about Snape and what they had shared with him.

It was a graveside service with no priest talking about him; it was just people saying what ever they felt were right to say about Severus Snape. Harry was surprised by how many had things to say but how so many expressed surprises that they had not known him as well as they had thought they did.
