Well i wasn't about to change all the numbers to work that way so I quickly typed this up for it instead. I hope you like it and thank you for reading.

Chapter 87 watching

When he arrived home it was to find the place as he left it. He did not believe anything would change here since he had very good spells up to keep nosy neighbors away and to keep all manners of animal and bugs away from here. He did use his wand to remove the layers of dust that had piled up over the months. After checking to be sure everything was fine he left to go to the local grocery store to stock up on food supplies. He walked down the street humming to himself a habit that he had gotten when he was a small boy and wanted to block out his fathers screams and breaking things around him. It was easier to pretend none of it ever happened. He walked into the store to look around to see that some of it had changed while he was gone. He gave a shrug not worried about it and grabbed a shopping cart. He strolled down the aisle to the can vegetables and fruit. He picked a few of them up for back up. He then went to the produce section to pick up some fresh vegetable and fruits. Once he had them he moved to the meat department to grab several of the steaks, pork chops, chicken and hamburger. It was then he saw a woman he knew and despised. He took his wand out from his pocket and gave a small flicker of it so that a few carrots slipped into her pockets of her jacket. He grinned evilly pleased imagining her trying to talk her way out of that one. He made his way to the bakery to pick out some bread. Once he was done he made his way to the checkout to buy his groceries. He chuckled seeing Petunia trying to explain that she had no idea how the carrots got into her pocket and she would never steal anything and would pay for them even though her husband was allergic to them. Since the manager knew her he let her buy them with a warning.

He was pleased to cause her some disruption of her completely orderly and perfectly happy life. He paid for his own things walking by Petunia who gave him a hateful look. He just smirked at her while walking out the door.

Severus enjoyed the rest of his day and went about reading some new books he had purchased at Florish and Blotts. He always enjoyed the summer for the time he was able to devote to reading and not worrying about Harry Potter the conceited spawn of James Potter. He would make a visit to see Lily’s grave a place flowers there for her. He would bring a book along with him to read it to her and relax in the quiet of the cemetery. At times he would see other grieving families there but most times he was alone with his thoughts and feelings and longing to have Lily alive and well. He knew others would ask people when they lost someone they loved what they could do for him and knew most people said nothing since the one thing they would want was to have the person to not be dead and gone.

One time he had asked the ghost if they could tell if someone visited their graves and what they thought of it.

Nearly headless Nick had told him. “Yes he knew when a person was there he would go see them and hear their words or sorry, love and loss and was especially hurt when his true love had shown up with a replacement for him that had been the last time he had gone there and now after such a long time no one visited him at least no one he knew now it was just stranger who were curious about the man who was not properly beheaded and usually made jokes about it. That was not pleasant for him. The Bloody baron had told him that he died in the woods and no one knew about it and his body was spread around the forest by the animals so he never had a proper burial. The Fat Friar was more then happy to tell him all about his death and where he was buried and how other monks still placed flowers on his and others graves in remembrance of their faith. The Grey Lady just looked at him sadly and shook her head. “My death is not a fond story to speak of.” She had told him then left him there puzzled about her death. He didn’t though ask her any more about it but had asked other ghosts instead who always happy to speak of it. He didn’t ask Moaning Myrtle since she was always wailing about how others hated her and then splashed water all over the place to cry loudly in the u-bend.
