Chapter196
The next morning Harry was out with Hermione and Draco they were going to the mountain ranges to search for Rowle who seem to like the giants and got along well with them. They all appeared in the outskirts of the mountains they didn’t want to appear right in front of a giant who would bash first then eat second.
They walked slowly keeping an eye out for any giants that might be wandering around unexpectedly, as they hoped that finding Rowle would be easy and quick. They were almost to the base of the mountains when an elderly woman hobbled toward them. Harry kept his wand out after his last encounter with what had appeared to be an old woman was in fact dead with a snake hiding inside her dead body.
The three watched her walking around then head straight for them, as though trying to be sure they were real.
“Why are you here?” An old croaky voice asked softly.
“Just…. Looking around,” Harry answered her.
“Tis dangerous place to look, people disappear in these mountains all the time. Take my advice leave these curse hills run as fast and far as you can,”
“Thank you but we’ll be fine,” Harry told her stepping around the old woman to head toward the foot path leading into the mountains.
“Be warned, you won’t be coming back,” She cackled as she hobbled away.
“Creepy old hag,” Draco said looking back toward her.
“I wonder who she is way out here?” Hermione mused, “It seems an odd place for an elderly woman to be wandering around, just to warn travelers that might happen upon the place.”
“That’s true,” Harry had a feeling there was more to her then they first thought.
“We should go back and talk to her again,” Harry turned around with the other two nodding agreement as they started back down the path.
It did not take them long to reach the end and to see that she was gone. Completely.
“How’d she….”
“You don’t think she was….”
“Rowle in disguise?”
“Let’s hurry back up the path but keeping an eye out for him or her,”
Rowle though had left the mountains after watching them walking away they never heard his parting words, “Farewell Harry Potter,”
